    Hey guys,
I'm visiting family in San Antonio over the holidays and was wondering if there's anything in particular that I should check out right now. Generally when I visit I end up with an assortment of Real Ale and Freetail which leaves me happy, but I just wanted to see if there are any local(ish) sixers or bottles currently on shelves that y'all are loving.

I was in town in October for a weekend and had the High Wheel IPA at Liberty Bar and absolutely loved it, so I plan on stopping by there/ Dorcol Distillery for the free evening I have, but otherwise just looking for bottle/can recs or maybe growler fills.

    Cheers!

Awesome, I'll try to check it out. Any favorite bottles or sixers on shelves right now?

Real ale has bottled a couple of their sours, i know the specs and total wine stock em. Tenebra Aeterna and Benedictum. Both really good if you like sour. The heb in Schertz has those and also some bbh w/cherries that is pretty tasty.

As long as they have a new batch of beer. I went the the other week for the first time after hearing great things as was completely underwhelmed. I was not alone either. All of their beers were under carbonated and their IPAs tasted really young, like the rushed putting the beers out.

Agree with James. The Spottieottie IPA they put out for the grand opening was awesome. Underwhelming is an understatement. Unfortunately The batch we had when we were there was awful. And I bought 6 crowlers without trying them first. :slight_frown: If they can get back to the way it was I'll be happy.

Who's Got The Juice Now was terrible on both occasions. Lol

    The porter was good.

Then get a bunch of Live Oak.

The new orange cans of RABC Four Squared is awesome, too.

Had them on 2 occasions now. First time Spottie was great, Juice, not so much. Second time (December 30th) Spottie was undercarbed, with different flavors than at opening, color was different as well. Juice was slightly improved, but I just don't know if that beer is to my liking. The 4080 was alright, but nothing to write home about. I'm hoping their stouts/porters on Saturday are worth the trip because I do feel like they have some potential. Maybe they're still dialing in their recipes?

Any word on Catcus Land? Their grand opening lineup looks promising with a wide range of offerings.
