It all depends on how much money I have left before I die... I am going to need at least 800$. The beer is better to be good.

Highly recommended. It's beautiful here and there's tons of great food and great beer. Every state has its own feel too, it's not homogenous "New England". Lots of places to see and things to do all within a 5 hour radius.

Yes, the province where we have too many beers to choose from...

Well I mostly meant are you in southern Quebec, because if so, you could literally do a day trip to Vermont and grab as much Heady / Focal Banger or Hill Farmstead as you'd like.

Got very close in Albany, NY back in 2004 on my way from Montreal to NYC. Using greyhound bus like any young backpackers. Some day I’ll have to make a better planned journey over this beautiful and huge region. Cheers.

Back in 2001, Westvleteren beers were available where I live in Pittsburgh. Split a 11.2 ounce bottle of Westvleteren 8 with a friend at the Sharp Edge (a Pittsburgh Belgian beer focused beer bar that sadly no longer exists) three days before 9/11 and later purchased a 11.2 ounce bottle of Westvleteren 12 for $13.99 that I shared with my bottle share group. I always wanted to try a Sam Adams Utopias and when I spotted it at a local grocery earlier this month, I gulped and paid more for a single bottle of beer than I ever thought I would pay. Will be sharing it with friends on New Years Eve.

It (along with other Lawson's brands) is in any NJ liquor store with a "good" (or better) craft selection - seems a regular inventory beer and not one that sells out as soon as it hits the shelves either. I'd imagine it's common in much of New York State as well, since the NJ distributor is in NY - Remarkable Liquids.

    Kinda steep around $15-16/fourpack.

I was excited to try Fest of Both Worlds this year, but unfortunately it was pretty basic. I did a side-by-side with Jack's Abby Munichfest and I like Munichfest a little better. Although I did find Fest of Both Worlds to have a more hearty body to it.

Unless you're in deep South Jersey, you can probably make the trip to Tree House and back in one day. There's no waiting in line at TH. In fact, you can order on-line and designate a pick-up time.

I do it about three times per year and bring maybe 3-4 cases home each trip. Their prices are better than top shelf IPAs in the PA/NJ area and the drive is pleasant enough (except the NJ part, LOL).

My list is pretty much the same as most: Westy 12, Pliny the Younger/Elder, Utopias, Black Tuesday, Parabola, yadda, yadda, yadda, etc.

I guess that I have the best chance at Pliny because I only live about an hour from Philly.

I don’t know when you’re visiting again but I remember seeing Heady show up around the Bay Area a couple times each year. Maybe during beer week?

Fou foun, although I feel I would be disappointed.

I would like to drink some classic lagers and more Belgians from the source.

    Enjoy

It’s even in chain grocery stores here. Nice thing is it’s always kept cold. Good beer but can’t say you’re missing anything.

    Enjoy

Black Tuesday is in a few places in North Jersey still. That's a ride for you but it's around at around $50 a 750ml

My son-in-law says he's seen Focal Banger in East Bay, but not Heady. I'd buy that one too if I see it while there. It seems that the votes are 50-50 by people in these forums who have compared PrE with Heady side-by-side, so I'd like to do it myself to settle the score. I've had both and I prefer PtE, but that comparison relies on a 3-year-old memory of Heady, which I had first.

I'd like to try Pliny the Elder, Pliny the Younger and Old Stock Ale from North Coast Brewing before I die.

I'd say that if someone wanted to venture out and try some different beers to try Weihenstephaner Korbinian before they die.
