Sam Adams Boston Lager has to be the king in this category. It's nowhere near my favorite. It's not even a beer I've ever bought bottles of. But how many times have your friends dragged you to the shittiest of shitty bars and you take a peek at their taps: Bud, Bud Light, Miller Lite, Heineken (or some other shitty import, like Dos Equis), and then finally, like manna from heaven: Sam Adams Boston Lager. Yeah, we've all had it. No it won't blow you away, but I'll be damned if it doesn't annihilate the competition.

Pliny. Most Russian River stuff for that matter. So readily available here it's passed over often for something new. Also, as other said- Torpedo. sucking on a 16oz. can right now, and picked it up at the store (on a walk, the can was a big bonus) for $2, you just can't beat that!

Two Hearted (and Bells regulars in general), Ed Fitz Porter, SN's regular lineup, Summit's lineup, Anchor, North Coast, all great breweries that often aren't new enough or sparkly enough to grab my attention anymore...but should.

Finest Kind for sure. I pick up a sixer every now and then and always wonder why I don't always have these in the fridge. That never used to be the case.

As a current Wisconsin resident, I gotta say New Glarus. I used to drink their stuff all the time- mostly Spotted Cow with the occasional seasonal until about a year ago when I realized there was tons more out there. But now having realized there's all kinds of stuff out there to try, I'm all about the Russian River or Goose Island or Deschutes stuff.

While I loooooove their fruit triplets, I only grab a Serendipity or Raspberry Tart like once a month to drink. It's sad, really- though I've probably bought a case of their recent incarnation of Thumbprint Berliner Weiss and will probably buy a case of the upcoming Thumbprint Sour Brown Ale! I bet that if I move out of Wisconsin in the next few years, I'll be going even more nuts for NG offerings.. I'd be fatter than a squirrel

Honorable mention would be Edmund Fitzgerald porter- still my favorite next to Black Butte but I probably only buy one six pack a month.

I can't remember the last time I had one- it may be about time to rectify that.

I also recently picked up some 90 Minute and wondered why it took me so long- I was very impressed with the floral aroma. Fwiw- I never really noticed the dates before, but this time they were pretty clear and that beer was under a month old.

Agree with this. Abt 12 is my fav quad in the world and if it had the "Trappist" tag and were harder to find I think it would be held in higher regard. Amazing beer.

NB Ranger. Down at my Mom's house good beer is hard to come by but even gas stations had Ranger. Really a decent IPA and widely available.

Price is the thing keeping e from buying this more often. Where I live, I see 6 packs for 11.99-12.99, which I think is a bit much considering what it is, very good beer no doubt, but if price were more in line with 8.99 or so, it'd stay in my fridge more often.
Does anyone else feel like this beer is just run-off form Arrogant Bastard?

I very rarely buy beer that I have had before. I'm always searching the next 4.5 or higher. When there is nothing new to try and I am at some shitty liquor store. I appreciate being able to pick up Founders Breakfast Stout or Oberon damn near everywhere I go.

Trust that if Old Rasputin had a once a year release where you could only get a hold of it thru a lottery, it'd get a whole lot more respect. Great beer, always available and best of all affordable.

Recently had a Weihenstehener Vitus and wondered to myself why I don't drink it more often.
GL Edmund Fitzgerald, Dortmuder Gold, Anchor Steam, Flower Power, Ommegang Abbey, St bernardus Abt 12 (another beer I re-visitied recently, why don't I have bottle upon bottle of this in my stash?)
    La Fin Du monde, Hennepin.

Was going to say this also. My favorite beer but I haven't bought it in probably 2 or 3 years.
