So far everything I have had from troegs has been exceptional. You won't regret it once you try them. Literally a pleasure stroll through styles and tastes. I live in Ithaca so I am the same way about Ithaca Beer. When I am in the store I am looking for beer from anywhere but here. lol

Yep I have to agree. Torpedo and Pale Ale are always right there waiting for me to pick them up yet I pass them by despite loving them. I think I am going to the store and pick me up a pack of Torpedo today just because I am feeling guilty. Thanks for the shame!

I only wish. Boulevard is expanding, but they're still relatively small and Tank 7 isn't all that widely available in their newer territories.

I see Hop Stoopid all the time for $5 for a bomber. It's a fantastic beer when fresh and I feel like I'm taking it for granted every time I don't buy it.

Oh, I've had every year round and seasonal from Troegs, and probably 20 or so of their Scratch series beers. I just tend to pass over them a lot when I go beer shopping. I guess I figure I can get them whenever I want, so I get something different. That results in me almost never buying their beer.

I don't know where in Illinois you live, but at least in my experience in Chicago it is very difficult to find. Even at the Brewery in Munster it flies off the shelf.

We recently had an IPA challenge with 16 of the best IPA's in the country and Ranger came in 2nd.

Lagunitas. They are the best priced, and delicious beers, the FULL lineup!

Without being specific: Your entry level beer(s). Without them, how would you have known what craft beer was all about?

Victory Prima Pils. I got a case as a gift the other day and realized exactly how much I take it for granted. It's always fresh and delicious around here, they sell it everywhere, and I hadn't bought any in over a year.

I actually have a soft spot for Widmer. I like their Falconer IPA, Drifter, KGB.

for me, i'd have to go with Dechutes Mirror Pond.

i really like it, it was one of the first beers that the local grocery store carried (along with Sierra Nevada and Sammy), and is always reasonably priced compared to other beers, let alone when on sale.

when i go to specialty stores, i always chase the stuff that is more difficult to find or i haven't tried. as the supermarkets started adding more and more variety i passed it over for some of the "new" beers they started bringing in. it even gets overshadowed by their own seasonal releases like Red Chair or Twilight. (this is only around a couple months! gotta buy!)

wasn't until it made an absence from the shelf that it hit me.

cue Cinderella's "Don't know what you've got 'til it's gone...

once it started showing up again, i have made a point of doing my part to make sure they keep 'em coming.

For me, it's stone ipa. I seem to always by jai alai or 2 hearted, but I picked up a sixer of stone a couple weeks ago, and thought to myself, I should buy this much more often.

This this this. Probably mailing myself mini-kegs (if I can find them at Meijer) along with a couple six packs :grinning:

I definitely take all the RR for granted. Toronado and City Beer almost always have Pliny, Blind Pig, Supplication, Temptation, Consecration, etc. on tap and I almost never get them because there are new things to try! There are lots of beers to take for granted in SF...

For me, I take SNPA and Lagunitas IPA for granted. Those are everywhere in my area. Even the shittiest restaurants have them in bottles. I stopped drinking them for the longest time just because I got tired of them. I recently started drinking them again, and instantly remembered what I loved about them in the first place.

There was a day that Two Hearted was the only American IPA we could get in Minnesota, and as far as I know we were Bell's best market in the country for it. I often pass it up these days for locals, but it is still one of my top five beers.

Yeah, when not on sale it's $10.99-$11.99 here but it's usually $9.99 when on sale. As far as it being run off of Arrogant Bastard, not at all. The two don't taste very close to me at all
