I'm a big fan of Sake, and Sake bombs, and I would like to try some more beers brewed, finished, or aged with sake. Can you think of any, or have you tried any good ones? I really liked the Hitachino Extra High (XH) which was matured in shochu barrels (which is not sake but is close), and I always wanted to try Goose Island Kisetsu, but haven't gotten my hands on any.
I love sake, too. I've had Kisetsu on tap and it really didn't work for me. There really aren't too many out there. You've had the only other one I can think of. lol, sorry for the lack of input.
I am not aware of any brews that come from barrels that held sake, However, this really unique and odd brew claims it's use of sake rice in the mix... It's a fun weird one if you can get a hold of it: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/3553/95215/
I've never had it, but Nogne O Red Horizon was brewed with sake yeast. http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/7730/54636/
