Grapefruit Sculpin is absolutely freaking wonderful - it's pretty much the perfect merger of IPA and fruit juice.

I have to second Parabola, definitely lives up to and is worth it. The price tag being $15 in my area.

Consecration even tho it isn't hyped that much. If there were one beer I had to drink for the rest of my life, this would be it.

KBS worth the hype IMO, best coffee barrel aged stout out there. Also Atrial Rubicite, Heady, and Zombie Dust. All fantastic.

IPAs aren't my go to style, but the first beer that comes to mind as worth the hype is Pliny the Younger. So smooth. So light. Yet so much flavor. And so worth the trouble to get.

A big beer that I don't see as worth the insane hype that surrounds it is Proprietors. It's AMAZING, don't get me wrong, but I think the Vanilla is a better, more complex, flavorful beer. That being said, I would NEVER pass up the chance to get Prop, but during a side-by-side I leaned toward the Vanilla. Now that's a beer that's worth the hype as well.

100%. I said "wow" more times drinking this beer than I care to imagine. I think the people around me were thinking the same thing.
