There are a few beers that seem to be very well received and yet I can't make it through one. First on the list is Lake Erie monster. I really like GLBC, been to the brew pub, world class facility and staff. Can't drink Lake Erie monster. I want to like it, I try. But just can't. What brews don't you guys "get"?

Easy one for me: Short's Huma Lupa Licious. Haven't tried it in years, it was so harsh to me. Outstanding rating here, from my favorite brewer, and I can't do it.

most everything stone makes with the exception of their classic stone IPA, everyone raves about them and they are not bad by any stretch of the imagination, but I have had ruination, I have had cali-belgique (gross), I have had delicious, their saison (bland and inspired if I've ever tasted it), I have had their green tea IPA (also gross) and one or two others (Arrogant bastard of course) and they are nothing special, they strike me as beers that get by on their namesake and their rep as big bad hoppy bastards, which I'm sorry I've never found to really be the case, don't get me wrong they are hoppy but no more than most things that are comparable. Sorry stone most of your stuff is just okay

great thread topic by the way

Bell's Two Hearted Ale. It's not bad, I just don't understand all the love for this beer.

Heady Topper. Great aroma, but the finish is so sweet it's almost a chore to finish an entire can.

Ditto. Nothing special. And Flower Power--weird, artificial citrus finish. SOS had a weird smell/aftertaste too.

I never wanted to be a guy who disliked certain styles but thats it for me, not a specific beer. One specific though is Boat by carton. While i enjoy it, theres just something about it that wont sit well with me and it takes me a while to finish one. Maybe its a "grapefruit" essence and what i taste is heavy hops and super light body but thats my preference that i enjoy heavier ipas. I can not get into english beer, such as english ipa. They are all that ive had at least, very sweet and like a musty malt to them. Had one the other day that was almost cocoa like in flavor. Id still drink one, but not my thing. But some positive now, ive recently started to love DIPAs

I thought Hop Hunter was a pleasant surprise. But if you get an old/bad batch its pure lemon water.

Yeah I realize it's the beer that brought craft beer into a wider market; however to me it's too dry and bitter. I'm surprised that you didn't like ruination by Stone. Have you tried 2.0??

Bell's two hearted for me as well... I've had it and been like this is pretty good and other times just struggle to finish it... also Tropicalia don't get me wrong a really good to great beer but when I think of other beers of a similar build that are much easier to find I don't see them being that far apart.
