I do believe it had pear in it? And pear flavor reminds me of baby food but in that instance it worked so well.

I've seen them in recent years in Kramer's distribution area - Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Mercer, and Salem counties (not often, tho').

Yeah, there are 4 Sierra Nevada distributors in NJ - Peerless, Shore Point, Kohler and Kramer (unless someone else got bought out recently), so when and which beers hit the shelves - or never do - can vary from region to region. And, of course, if the retailers don't order it...

Just so you know, Red’s Rye is now occasionally available in 12 oz cans but it is always available on tap- it’s their best selling tap beer.

Murphy's is aboot on a similar level but for non nitro, O'hara's is the bomb.

    Seriously, Bender got axed? BOO

Both are periodically brewed and packaged, but distro is likely only CA (or neighboring states). WJ just had another batch released.

Yep, they kept coffee Bender in the rotation. Bender was only available on draft at their giant taproom, (inconvenient when one lives in a neighboring state) & that facility has been closed indefinitely.
I know it was a supply & demand decision, but it hurt to loose my all time favorite dark beer!!
Note: coffee Bender is OK, but I prefer coffee notes from roasted malts, not coffee added.....Damn, that sounded decadent:astonished:!

It’s gas that people here would hold Beamish in high regard, the average Irishman would see it as a lousy cheaper alternative to Guinness, unless you were from Cork in which case it would be a lousy cheaper alternative to Murphy’s hehehe. I’m reasonably content with all three beers, on tap in a good Dublin pub Guinness is you’re only man, when I’m in Cork i’ll drink Murphy’s, Beamish if I’m feeling crazy

This one might blow your mind:
Sam Adam's Imperial Hallertau Pilsner- my favorite SA of all time...throw in Noble Pils as a second SA beer.

That's interesting but not surprising as I think of it because about 10 years ago when I went to my wife's parents house (girlfriend at the time) to meet her Irish somewhat distant relatives who were visiting the states I brought, you guessed it Beamish. They were nonplussed and not impressed. They drank Guinness and eventually told me that it wasn't as good as guinness. I assumed them they were the Irish version of bud drinkers and didn't know the gem I had bestowed. Seemed they were right. That being said I still like Beamish very much and have exceptional beer taste. Exceptional I say.
