Probably corona is one....still fun from a nostalgia perspective. Makes you think of the summer, but not such a great taste by itself.

After discovering craft with SNPA, made a trip to Lost Coast and loved the Raspberry Brown, that was early 2008, now I wont even touch the stuff!

our tongues have problems. they always want something different. our tongues are more snobbier than we are. jk. but seriously our tastes change through the years. I could use food as an example. I hated oatmeal as a kid. now I love it! I used to hate euro lagers. Now I run to them. This is good though!

I'd like to see more people on this thread who say they used to like Green Flash West Coast IPA and other beers that aren't really low end to review more beers.

Baltika. Pretty much any number you want to look at, I once thought they were great.
But as Bruce Campbell once said, "Honey, you got reeeeeeeaaal ugly".

Two beers that I enjoyed drinking in the past but recently had less than ideal drinking experiences with recently:
    • Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA
    • Ithaca Flower Power
    Cheers!

Heavy Seas Loose Cannon. Was my go-to IPA for a couple years, but we grew apart. Nowadays, when I enter the beer store, we merely nod and wink at one another, like long-lost lovers recalling good times past. Alas, I will never taste Loose Cannon again.

I think I'm about halfway down the same road. Belgian yeast is starting to bother me.

I was starting to get a little bummed-out by it and then I went to the Belgian Beer Fest in Boston. It put me over the edge. As I said, that was two years ago. I have literally only had one Belgian since (Pretty Things Jack D'or - an old favorite of mine that I was having to see if it would kick start my enjoyment of the yeast again, it didn't).

Magic hat #9, Red Hook ESB, and Harpoon UFO. These were my craft gateway beers. I'd say Boston Lager but I'll still order it if i'm at a restaurant/bar with a BMC tap lineup.

Green Flash West Coast IPA - my favorite west coaster available in my neck of the woods. Then they went and changed the recipe. While some people like the change, I did not care for it at all and will never buy it again :slight_frown:

I used to LOVE Mirror Pond Pale Ale... It was my go-to beer in the early 2000's. Problem was, I was drinking 10 of them a night, so now I smell it and think of college and puking :grinning:

Whitbread used to be an incredible dual-strain English ale. Now I think the brand is owned by Boston Beer Company, but I'm not sure, don't quote me on that or take it as fact just because it's on the internet.

Years ago I only drank Budweiser and Blue Moon. One day I just started hating Blue Moon. It was way too sweet and I felt kinda "soft" while drinking it. After that I drank Budweiser literally 90% of the time. 3 years after that I finally got into real beer.

Newcastle. Had my first one in college and it changed how I felt on beer entirely. Opened my eyes and got me interested. Maybe it was just me having little to no experience at that point but now it just doesn't taste the same as that first time I fell in love.

Whitbread Ale - like Mackeson Stout - was brewed under license from Whitbread / Interbrew UK by Boston Beer Co. at their Cincinnati brewery, and marketed in the US by the now-defunct Royal Imports, LLC also of Cinci.

BBC took over that contract when Hudepohl-Schoenling got out of the brewing business and sold the brewery to BBC. Royal was originally a division of H-S, and spun-off eventually. But BBC never owned the Whitbread or Mackeson labels. Every reliable source suggests that the Whitbread and Mackeson labels are still owned by ABInBev, even though they are brewed under license in various countries.
