Belgian Tripels in general. When I was living in Belgium for six months I drank a ton of it. Now I am not at all interested in that style. Though I did have Allagash's version of it a few months ago and it was great.

Grolsch. Haven't had one in years and it was the ONLY beer I'd drink.

used to love the rolling rock, did the brewery tour and the town fair before they were bought out by evil corporate devil and I had one since then and it was horrible, funny too I bought the 150th anniversary case that came in a wooden crate and didn't touch it but threw it out 2 months ago when I moved from vegas to florida. That beer was over 10years old and wasn't brave enough to try it before I gave it away wooden crate and all.

The Tito family sold their Latrobe Brewing Co. in the mid-80s, and it had a series of "corporate" owners after that - including Sundor (makers of Sunny-D fruit drinks), Labatt, Interbrew (after they bought Labatt in the 1990s). It was InBev that sold the "Rolling Rock" brand to Anheuser-Busch and then sold the brewery itself to City Brewing Co. Not sure which one was the "evil corporate devil"...

Ipswich Ale back when it was in growlers. It was cloudy and dirty and yeasty and sweet and you could enjoy great quantities of it on a hot summer day. Now that it has been mass produced and tamed it is a different product. Have not bought any in years.

I was on a Hefeweizen kick a few years ago. Can't stomach it now, it tastes awful to me...

    Late '80's - Michelob Dark
Early '90's - Killian's Red on tap. Drank a shit load of it. Tried a bottle not too long ago. Yuck.

I used to drive over to the neighboring states and pick up a case or keg of Fat Tire. I got my close friends hooked on the stuff (and they still drink it). Now, like Yuengling Lager. It's a "meh" I'd rather drink water.

Sam Adams Oktoberfest. After getting into IPAs and drier beers in general, it is too sweet for me in terms of beer.

I haven't been drinking Lagunitas for that long, but even after a year or two I found that both the IPA and Sucks are now too sweet for me. I now steer away from the brewery in general even though somewhere on this site I once listed it as my third favorite brewery.

Sammy Smith Nut Brown. Just not a huge fan of browns anymore. I think it is a good beer still though for that type of brew.

I just get this weird taste that I can never quite put my finger on. At first it was just the hoppier beers, but then the sweeter stuff started tasting "off". I used to drink tons of Brown Shugga and Hairy Eyeball, but now, I pretty much just skip over anything they make.

I found that I'm losing my fondess for pumkin ales (except for Pumking of course), just too many mediocre ones that come out earlier

    And Nut Brown Ales

This is the first time I noted a post about Green Flash West Coast changing its recipe.

A quick web search found the below announcement from May 2014:

“In response to your demand for flavorful and extreme IPAs, we have boosted the flavor profiles in two of your long-time Green Flash favorites. Green Flash Brew Master, Chuck Silva has artfully refined the recipes for the trailblazing classic, West Coast IPA, as well as for our luscious red ale, Hop Head Red. As a result of Chuck and the team’s handiwork, both beers have officially reached DOUBLE IPA status. We added a layer of Citra Hops to West Coast IPA, enhancing the beer’s overall hop aroma while emphasizing the beer’s citrus character. Then, struck by another flash of genius, we increased the dry hopping for both brews and upped each beer’s ABV to 8.1%. There is no doubt that certain that the reformulation of these beers will delight your highly evolved craft beer palate.”

    Hmmm?

    Cheers!
