Recently purchased a six pack of green-bottled Hofbrau from a nondescript corner store. What was I thinking? I know better than that.

Samuel Adams Bonfire Rauchbier was the worst beer that I have ever had in my life. There was no beer flavor, it was literally drinking a bonfire.

None...all have been an experience and given me a better understanding of beer.

A guy at a beer store suggested I try Mission Shipwrecked DIPA, since it was clear that I like really hoppy ales. I'm trying not to hate and maybe it was old (like 2 or 3 years old...), but it was awful. Tasted like malt syrup and whiskey, mixed with a little yeast. No hops at all.

Bad beers make you appreciate the great/world-class beers that some breweries have the ability to make. Couldn't agree with you more on this statement.

My buddies and I opened a cherry rye right as everyone was shutting down and getting ready to go to bed. I don't think anyone has a great memory of how it tasted and we woke up the next day with a third still in the bottle.

I woke up the other morning with half of a Backwoods Bastard sitting on my table.

Did a similar thing with Dark Lord, at least we corked it and put it back in the fridge.

When people go crazy for rare Cantillons I like to remind them that all Cantillon is the same beer, just different fruits (ocassionally different barrels and blends.) So going after a Blaeber or Soleil De Minuit, you're really just going crazy trying to get the same beer with some different fruits.

The pint of John Smith's Extra Smooth I drank in about 3 minutes at the football yesterday. Horrible stuff and I could barely stomach any more beer for the rest of the day.

A little heat in a stout can be nice, but Hab Sculpin is too much for me too.

I couldn't agree more. Yuengling is the most overrated "craft" beer out there.

I guess I am not the only one that breaks out the good stuff and regrets it the next day. Thanks for that!

Tried BrewDog's TNP yesterday; never made so many faces while "savoring" a sip. Most expensive spit out to date...
