I got mine, and have talked two new guys in my neighborhood into attending. I'm pretty excited for the fest, as I usually meet up with RI based friends and we take a car, but the logistics for me are bad. Now the three of us can travel together.

I'm going to pass, that website doesn't even list the participating breweries

It's been amazing every year. I wouldn't hesitate to go in blind.

I've only missed one year ever, and I have no doubt that the lineup will be stellar. It's only ever gotten better year to year. Pre-sale tickets sold out in 30 minutes.

Thanks. It's going to be absolutely huge this year. I talked two newbies into coming, so hopefully I can make it a mellow night. Nice to see Wormtown, Tilted Barn, Von Trapp and other new entrants.

A link to the list would have been enough I think.

I'm excited to go, and I'm bring two newbies. But overall the list seems way too heavy on sours and wild/brett/farmhouse beers. I guess that's the trend of late.

Yeah. There was really no need to replicate the entire list across numerous replies. So I cleaned up the thread as it was getting way too spammy, and we don't need two active threads either. I also dropped some basic info into the OP's post as it lacked details and proper links to the BA listing and fest website.

Anyone else going to this? Thoughts on the list? I'm curious about the Ommegang DIPA. Beer'd stuff looks great. DuClaw table looks good...I don't know them at all. Barrel aged Unearthed from Long Trail is on my list for sure.

I am going. I think the list is good, maybe not quite as good as in years past, but definitely still a super solid list. I think the Shelton table will be outstanding as always. Kind of curious about the Ballast Point beers. Proclamation has a new stout? Sign me up!

I'll be in Providence October 14-16, and although I won't be able to attend this fest, I see that it's Providence Craft Beer Week also? The issue is, nothing seems to be updated—the web site, Facebook, etc. Anyone know anything about any other events that might be going on in the area that Friday and Saturday?

I am going. Looking forward to a more laid back experience without needing to line up at given times and tick beers like Proprietors which were part of years past. KBS, Utopias, and BCBCS will probably be timed tappings and create a crowd; but I've been there, done that. Will be nice to enjoy a lot of the new breweries invited to this year's event.

I am not aware of specific events during the weekend...if you search Julians or Pizza J on Facebook, they posted a bunch of different brewery/tap takeover events during the week leading up to Beervana, then Julians hosts the Beervana after-party late Friday. I would watch if anything else will occur at these venues, or at the very least some good kegs should last til the weekend.

Other locations in Providence to keep an eye on for events or special beers are Rogue Island, Malted Barley and What Cheer Tavern.

The Avery should have some events next week too. I heard about a possible Founders night there.

It was a really well run event and had some great beers. There were a whole bunch that I didn't expect to me amazing. I'd probably try to have some more food available since they were running out pretty early.
