Have tried about five of their beers I think, all good but nothing wowed me. The IPAs, Hop Highway and Damned! are solid but a bit malty for my taste. The Beaver's Milk / Peanut Butter Milk are cool beers and probably their strongest offerings. The Dirty Barrel I thought was just Ok, kinda muddled and boring, especially at close to $20.

IPAs are so competitive in SD that I think they really need to tweak their recipes to stand out. I will probably revisit these guys down the road but there are just too many better options for me at this point.

I had it at Press Box Sports Lounge out in Rancho San Diego. Keg kicked late last week sadly :slight_frown:

They did a "horchata" version of the stout last week. That was one I would have liked to try.

They need to open that tasting room at 3, or even 2. 4 is too late for me!

That sounds pretty awesome too. Agreed on the tasting room hours, I definitely need to go back soon though.

Yep, I had a chance to try the horchata version ... it was excellent ... creamy, nutty with hints of cinnamon ... it leaned on the sweeter side so I wouldn't want more than the 5oz pour which I had ... kinda like that imperial Naughty Sauce from Noble - 5oz will do just fine

There was also the "poorly" named Donkey Punch Brewing Co in Redlands that has now appeared to have changed their name to Wild Donkey Brewing Co.

I take it this concoction is better than the mother earth version? I tried the latter recently & thought it was ok

They are entirely different beers. The Belching Beaver is more of an easy drinking milk stout. The Mother Earth is an imperial stout, close to twice the potency.

Just had their milk stout on Saturday. I thought it was pretty good. Not mind blowing by any means, but I enjoyed it.

Had BB's Damned! DIPA the other day and thought it was good. Good enough for another purchase? Yeah, maybe.
