Just popped a Peanut Butter Milk Stout. If you like stouts and you like peanut butter, this is an absolute NO-BRAINER. I love me some Mother Earth Sin-Tax and this is like a smoother, peanut-butter-ier take on it with less ABV. Will definitely be picking this up again (and again, and again).

 

Can I buy bottles over at the tasting room in North Park?

If not, are their any stores around the area where I can?

Was just there this weekend. Damn that p-nut butter stout was awesome. Tasted like Reece's Pieces. The 2 ipa's they had on are solid too. The rye and the double one. I think it's dammed. So tasty.

 

I was just there on Saturday as well for the first time. P.B. taste great on draft, and their DIPA was really, really good as well. Loved their outside seating area and that you can get pours outside. It was a nice day!

 

I went on Saturday as well, post Veritas pickup. I got a sampler of the PB Stout, Hop Highway IPA, Bitter and Rye IPA. I thought they were solid but nondescript. The PB Stout was fairly good, but that's a style that I find fairly undrinkable past the first few sips. The Hop Highway IPA was good, but nondescript. The other two were below average.

It's a cool layout with a nice outdoor area, and if I lived or worked nearby I'd hit it up somewhat regular. I'll probably never go back though - there are too many stellar other breweries in San Diego.

 

You can find it at Albertsons as well as the local liquor stores, not hard to find at all. I enjoyed it.

 

Anybody try PBMS on ice cream? Extra nice.

 

Whoa. That sounds amazing. Golden State on Fairfax in LA does incredible beer floats. Once had an Old Rasputin with Brown Bread ice cream

 

Saw some folks talking about BB in another thread and had to pop in here to say I had the regular milk stout on tap a couple weeks back -- thought it was friggin' delicious. Tons of flavor packed into 5.3%. Definitely gonna have to grab a few more of those next time I see them.

 

I know this is a beer forum but Golden State - Best Burger in town! They usually have some pretty decent beers on tap and yes! they have beer floats!

 

Can't wait for this!
