A little surprised she didn't reply: Don't look a gift horse in the mouth.

    Cheers!

I am quite jealous. I enjoyed Curieux immensely while commuting to the Atlanta area for work a few years ago, but it is not available in the north Texas area where I reside. Not a big fan of pilsners but would jump at the Cur-8 for whiff of Curieux. Ha.

I guess I haven't ever tried the full-blood Curieux. This half-breed showed up at a small beer store in San Diego that has lots of actual Belgians as well. Place called Bine & Vine. cheers!

Another one from my favorite (or second favorite) Bend, Oregon brewery.

    Thanks New Guy. Amazing stuff.

From the back of the can - “When the F’n New Guy makes a mistake that turns into a happy accident, we name the beer after him. The FNG is a classic Belgian Abbey Ale that bridges the stylistic gap between a Dubbel and a Tripel. Dark Candi Syrup and Abbey yeast work together harmoniously to deliver a balance of toffee and caramel, with notes of clove and pepper, and a truly clean finish.”

Well, it actually must be black market if she didn't go straight to the source in Belgium. Technically, the sale of this beer outside of the Sint-Sixtusabdij Westvleteren is illegal. They are apparently trying to crack down on places selling their beer. Of course, I would happily buy it when I see it...so no judgement here!

Damn, yet another reason for the feds to have eyes on me. I’ve warned my wife so many times about this lol.

To be honest, it was a little bit of a letdown compared to what I remembered, although still good.

I found last year’s from the can very underwhelming. Not sure if I’ll bother trying it again this year.

One of my favorites this time of the year. N'ice Chouffe. Amazing beer.

Well, first timer here. I find it glorious. It reminds me of THE FNG (from Monkless) Or perhaps I should The FNG reminds StB Christmas Ale? Respect, man. The point I guess I am trying to make is that Monkless does a good job doing Belgian styled ales.

My only complaint? Darn Euro sizes…cheating me out of .8 ounces.
