Ok, so it seems you have two cans from last year and two from this year.

Red Poppy from Lost Abbey. Classified as a Flanders Red. Wonderful beer. This bottle is about 12 years old, and brings a bunch of funk and sourness. Sour patch kids, barnyard funk, sour cherries, and quite tart. Lovely.

Trappiste Rochefort 10. Man, this is good! Every time I have this I think "I should have this more often!". Perhaps the price prevents me from drinking this often (now $7.99 most places). Delicious regardless.

    Same.

The price near me is 8.99

Thats a sixer of Wookey Jack that those belgian bastards would probably pay 3x the price for out there.

True - it's all relative. Single Speedway cans go for $8 euro in Germany.

My favorite Quad Ale and probably my favorite beer. As a matter of fact I'll be having a couple of these today

    Time for a Classic!
A pile of foam, coarse bubbles, and lots of lacing. Aroma is woody, nutty, fruity. A touch of sweetness on the lips and a pleasant sudsy mouthfeel. And at 5.2%, a great quaff! The slight acidity is more like ripe cherries. It's actually less sharp than most IPAs. No hint of hops, apparently. Warm malt and that unique Rodenbach fruity mix. I don't know why so many American brewers don't taste this before they crank the Vinegar dial on their fruity sour brews.

Having an excellent Belgian Blond from Zebulon in Weaverville, NC. Brewer Mike Karnowski's use of the yeast strain was genius, getting major esters and phenols including pear, apple, and black pepper. This was a treat. If you are in the WNC area, be sure to seek his beers out, they are worth the price of admission!
    Cheers!

Trippel from New Belgium. 8.5% ABV.

Poured at fridge temp. Pours a nice transparent yellow with about an inch of head on an aggressive pour. The nose is characteristically a Belgian tripel. Sweet apples, orange, wheat, caramel, banana, and honey.

The taste is nice and smooth. Definitely a candy note going on. Sweet apples, banana, honey, biscuits/bread, apricot, and melon. Quite tasty. Not the best tripel, but worth the price.

I write the year of production/release on the container in Sharpie right after buying beers like this. Makes it a lot easier to keep a vertical tasting in order after several rounds of strong stuff!

So damn good. Probably a good thing for me that it is not cheap or easily available here.

Leffe Amber ale… this is good and had this « bomber » for Christmas. Funny thing about Leffe almost every of their beers are 6,6% ABV beside their 8,5% Tripel and the not so good Rituel at 9%.
