The best Belgian IPA is Troubadour magma. Beautifull beer imo.

Backlash Declaration & Clown Shoes Tramp Stamp, 2 Massachusetts Belgian IPA's are among my favorite beers right now. I just can't get enouhg of what to me are the 2 best flavor profiles, combined in one heavenly bottle.

Maybe it's just an issue of regional availability, but I've got to give it to Clown Shoes Tramp Stamp and Cambridge Audacity of Hops.

Belgian IPAs are great, and I've found I like the Belgian ones much more than the American-brewed ones.

No mention of Ommegang BPA or did I miss it? That was one of my go to's for years.

what this guy (and a bunch of other good BAs in here have) said

"Belgian IPA" stands for "more expensive American DIPA" ... at least that's my experience so far, but i'll try a few more. it's not like they suck. i mean, American DIPA's are pretty good

I don't have a lot of experience with Belgian IPAs. I've had Stone's offering and d'Achouffe's (really nice!). Today, I had Anchorage Brewing's Bitter Monk for the first time. Holy cow! What a revelation! A wonderful combination of bitter and sour flavors, with just enough sweetness to make it drinkable. Definitely going to explore Belgian-style IPAs more.

Liked Sumpin' Wild and loved Cali-Belgique. Will definitely be seeking out more of this style.

I've only had 3 Belgian IPAs. The first I ever had was Piraat. It was probably my 3rd or 4th craft beer I tried and it was too much for me. I had the thought of "It's really expensive so it has to be good!" mentality and realized that thought is terrible when it comes to beer (and everything else). Clown Shoes Tramp Stamp was the second, and I also was not a huge fan. I figured Belgian IPAs weren't my style until I had Lagunitas Little Sumpin' Wild which made me do a complete 180.

I thought Little Sumpin' Wild was great, but I'm still not sold on the style. It's interesting, but in my opinion Belgians and IPAs should stay separated. Belgians, good. IPAs, great. Belgian IPAs? Meh.

I have only tried 2 or 3 of this style from what i cam remember with mixed results. Loved the Funkwerks Belgian IPA when they brewed it last summer, I have long been wanting to see a return of that one in particular.

Foreign styles of beers will always be great. Flying Dog Raging Bitch is delicious! I need to try more foreign IPAs :-)
