I would bring it back yourself. Bring a hard case suitcase and stuff a collapsible bag inside of it. Use the collapsible bag for your other items on the way back and the hard case for the beer. If you can find it, buy some armaflex insulation, 2 & 1/8 id. It comes in 6' lengths. Cut those into 12" pieces and slip a beer into each one. Tape each end and your beers will be as safe as a baby in a crib.

Hi, I just wanted to post back because you guys' help made my trip so much better. I posted a VERY LONG writeup of my trip. The reading can get boring, or perhaps its too personal. At the very least there are some nice pics that I took. Also, it's in spanish. Sorry about that.

However, if you want, there's always the possibility of wonky google translation:
    http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=es&u=http://caceriadecervezas.blogspot.com/&prev=/search?q=caceriadecervezas.blogspot.com&hl=en&biw=1205&bih=666

EDIT: Be very wary of the translation. I use a lot of Mexican slang and somewhat odd conjugations, and thus many things are completely nonsensical, or at times the opposite of what I intended to convey.

Great writeup @luisfrancisco , the translation was a little funky in parts but it really got me excited for my Belgium trip!

Haha, I hardly know anyone who tried to read it in Spanish. I did have a great experience. Happy to know someone else might find it useful.

my technique for hauling beer back was:

    - brought a rolled up huge duffel bag with me in my "clothing" suitcase
    - also in my clothing suitcase was a lot of bubble wrap and a few broken down cardboard boxes and packing tape

when I got to Belgium I taped the boxes back together and filled each of them with my bubble wrapped bottles. I then put the boxes into my duffel bag. voila I now had a huge bag filled with about 50 pounds of securely packed bottles. this way I didn't need to pay for a 2nd checked bag on the way over.

only downside was that this was a pain to carry around.
