    Hi folks-
My mother-in-law in Antwerp has just sent me pictures of the two cases of Westy she picked up for me, and I need to find a way to get it to the U.S. without making it too complicated for her (in luggage isn’t an option, as we’re not visiting until next year).

I’ve seen various answers to how best to do it. But is there anyone out there who has actually shipped to the US and can break down how to do it, where to do it, how much it costs, and all that good stuff? I’d like to make it as easy as possible for her (and attempt to coordinate it from here via my Flemish wife).

Someone had mentioned an online site that takes care of the whole shipping process if you drop it off to them, but I haven’t been able to find the site.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Mmmm, i have done this several times and one crate+bottles is just beneath twenty kilo after it is packed. Above 20 kilo the price rockets! You would need to let them pack in two boxes

Find someone you trust to pick up the beers and pack them for you. In return you could bring some nive beers beer next time you visit Belgium. There are Always people who are willing to help you out in this one.

    About the costs: http://www.bpost.be/site/nl/residential/parcels/international/kilopostint.html

so that will be 100 euro for a box and then with the packing material some extra euros....

    Good luck,

    Thijs
