Thanks to everyone for the suggestions / ideas for our visit to Belgium next week. I had a few quick questions-- Is the cafe at Fantome only open on weekends? And is the cafe at 3 Fonteinen currently closed? I seemed to remember seeing a forum post about this a while back but I can't seem to find it... To fill our last day in the country, we decided to stay the night in Antwerp. Anyone recommend we bypass the stay there and go somewhere else? I'm all ears for suggestions...for instance, we aren't currently planning to hit Brugge. Is that a bad idea or should we make it happen? Thanks!
What day is your last day? I could easily show you and the missus the sights around Antwerp if you want. Kulminator, Bierhuyske, Gollem, ... it's all good Not hitting Bruges is a good idea as far as I'm concerned. Nothing to see except hugely overpriced stuff you can get cheaper elsewhere. If we're still planning on doing some form of trade it would be way easier for me to do it in Antwerp than Brussels.
I believe the 3F tasting room is closed but the restaurant is open. Brugge is very romantic so if that matters it's a great stop with some great bars and bottle shops. Antwerp is arguably better for beer but less romantic.
I've you ask me , Brugge is a must ! It's a beautifull medival town with lots of awesome places to visit and beautifull sightseing , You never can go wrong with a daytrip to Brugge ! On the other hand , Antwerp has kulminator , but then again it's closed on sunday's and on the other days only open at 4 pm , monday's it's open at 8 pm
