Bellingham Bottle Share 11/23

So, I have a birthday coming up soon. I share this day with my friend Sara (if you follow me on Untappd, she and her boyfriend Chris are BellinghamBeerTriceratops), and I am going to host a bottle share. We've already got a few locals in, and if my negotiations go as planned, we'll have a space for 60-ish folks. If not, we'll adjust accordingly.

But still, I'd like for as many of you that could make a trip to the "ham to make it. This will be the Sunday before Thanksgiving, and we're looking at a Noon-5ish time frame. But, the Seacows play that day, and scheduling is still up in the air. I'll post more details as the time approaches. If y'all have been thinking about checking out the new additions to our beer scene, I think this would be a great chance for a weekend getaway.

 

There has been certain suggestions, that I bump it to Saturday, 11/22, mostly cuz of Seacows. I could be in on that. If people are willing to travel, it would certainly make things easier, giving Sunday as the "travel day".

We are doing this, a couple of friends have offered to host, but, personally, I'd rather not crowd someones house. I'll find out this week if the public space I'm pretty sure I can get, that I can actually get at a price I can afford.

For the potential out-of-towners, coming in Friday sometime and doing a bar/brewery hop Fri nite, shopping/hiking/biking/whatevs on Saturday totally works for us. I'll keep updating as I get info.

 

I'm FB (and real-life) friends with @DaftCaskBC , and was planning on letting him know once I had details locked. Perhaps a ride-share?

 

Again, it's only that the Seattle Puntball Team is playing on Sunday, that we're even looking at Saturday, 11/22. I'll keep updating.

I know it's not ideal, but it's better than the years my B-Day lands on Turkey Day, no?

It's not locked yet, but I'm pretty sure it'll be at a public place with a capacity of about 60. If we end up with less than 20 (locals and BAs combined) we'll probably do it at OKComputers house. Gonna aim at a 1-4pm time frame, but 12-5p would include set-up and clean up. Plus allow for early arrivals/departures as needed. More to follow.

Well, we'll be there until 5, plus a little clean up time, so swing by after work for a quick taste. I'm pretty sure there'll be leftovers.

 

Got a couple confirmations from BAs today, and along with my local peeps, this is shaping up nicely. At least 2 local brewers are coming, and both have been playing with sours/barrels lately. A shout-out to @vurt , for hooking us up with some DeGarde!
