    Howdy folks,

Going to make a pit stop (read: drink beer and eat) in Bellingham. Accordingly, which one brewery/taproom/restaurant has the best beer/taplist line-up/food?

Oh, and for clarification: Quality of Beer takes priority over the establishment's quality of food, naturally. I mean, that goes without saying, right?

I'd hit up Wander, I love their beer. I think they usually have a food truck outside but as EdwardAbbey said @beertunes will have your answer.

Edit to add: looks like Wander's website has a list of the trucks that will be there and what days-

I like Aslan's beer and their food is pretty solid.

Awiight, Nic Cage, Lets roll! When ya swinging through? Schedules allowing, I'd be happy to meet up. IMHO, Boundary Bay is the prototypical NW brewpub.Great food, good room, enjoyable beer. IMHO, Wander is making the best brews in town. A wide variety of styles, and rotating food trucks. Structures Brewing opened a couple months ago, and is making some very nice beers. Chuckanut, both Kulshan locations, and Aslan are also worthy. There's some solid beer bars in town that do good-great food also. I guess what I'm saying is, a pit stop= you missing out. Again, happy to meet up, even if just for a bit. Shoot me a message.

PS, fwiw,if you've only got time for a quick stop, Wander is easy on/off I5. They open at 3 weekdays.

Mckay's Taphouse is a hidden gem (they do crazy big brewery tap takeovers). And the pizza is pretty damn good. Be prepared for a bit of a dive, but that's the charm of it.

Wow, my post from last night was surprisingly coherent, considering the amount of beer I had consumed. I would like to say that, if food is secondary to the beer, I would find which brewery this food truck is at today: http://streatfood.com/ . IMHO, the best food truck in town, and better than a lot of restaurants.

If you're looking for bottles and some unique draft it's worth checking out Elizabeth Station. For brewery only spots you can't miss Chuckanut, Structures is worth a stop, Boundary is consistently good, and Wander is always cranking out something new and unique.

As payment for the excellent help you so readily received, might you be willing to explain your (updated) avatar? Clearly, you are enamored with one Nicolas Cage, but his head atop a cupcake on an interstellar journey? Did this site become LSDadvocate.com without my noticing?

Honestly, Edward, some things are better left unexplained. :stuck_out_tongue:

In this case, you're probably right: better to keep the mystery intact. I must confess I am reminded of Whitman's "When I Heard the Learned Astronomer," which seems especially apt, though I hardly know what the poet would've made of a Hollywood actor's mug perched atop a confection traveling through the stars. It's a brave new world, this...

Buy the ticket, take the ride with Nicolas Cage as your guide. Cheers!
