Based on the positive reception this is getting, I don't feel as crazy for making a 4 hour round trip on a weeknight to get a case. That case is now in my converted chest freezer, hopefully I forget about it long enough for the beer to transform into a more mellow version of itself. I thought it was really boozy when I had it on tap in the Eccentric Cafe.

Why is 3-4 ok, but not 8? How is that beer etiquette? You're the D-bag. Acting all high and mighty just because you only got two bottles.

That's strange that Michigan only got a case per store. Here in Maryland a store got 6 cases. Picked up a sixer. Guess that puts me in good standing according to you guys

Probably a distributor's allocation decision and nothing to do with the brewery.

This beer is really, really good! The finish definitely tastes like coffee - wonder if that's from coffee or the roasted/chocolate malt. Glad I got a 6er here in Charlotte!

I was able to get a bottle from @KBS but it would be nice to see this in southern California as I would buy as much as possible.

Not sure where that info came from, the store I frequent managed to get 3 cases. I grabbed a 6er.

This is what I love about Bell's. They created one of the best straight up imperial stouts (30th Anniversary), one of the best non-adjunct BBA Imperial Stouts (Black Note), and they nail non-adjunct styles across the board.

They could've done a brewery-only release, $20 bomber of maple-coffee-bacon-coconut insta-whale stout like everyone else is doing. But they chose to make a solid, no frills imperial stout that's available across the footprint. They're doing it right.

I picked up 2 six-packs after the Funvitational. The GS employee in the cooler was trying to talk me into a full case, but I had to walk across town to the hotel, and I wasn't going to carry a full case that far! What a fantastic imperial stout!

beer is quite good, i picked up a 6 at $5 a bottle....well worth it considering they charge 6 for 10 oz at bars minus tip. Stuff doesn't even have age. SOOOO smooth..............!!!! dangerously drinkable

So good. Whole Foods has cases of it just sitting out here in MKE. Every other place is 1-2 bottle limit.
