I was visiting my local shop today and did a double take when I saw a couple of cases of this on the shelf. I stop at this place at least once a week and know the guys who work there so I knew it was just put out. They told me the distributor just put it out and they thought it was a new release but the bottling date is 8/27/15. Of course I picked up a sixer and it is drinking really well, much sweeter than I remember.

If anyone is interested in getting this its in the Big Rapids area.

Had a bunch hit the Lansing area as well about a week ago. Happily picked up a sixer. Great beer!

I was out of town when in showed up here. I already have 8 bottles or so left, but I would have been tempted to pick up some more.

Truly a case of a beer that has improved with a year on it.

I have to respectfully disagree; I thought it would age beautifully but I had one recently and, while still good, it just seemed more muted to me.

It had no balance fresh, all bitter roast and hops. Now its a smooth, rich chocolate covered raisin. Its all opinions though, and we are free to have our own.

I only had 2 bottles of this and my biggest regret is not aging one. I thought it was pretty unbalanced and overly roasted fresh. Glad to hear it mellowed out well with some age.

While I did not have any fresh I thought 30th Anniversary is fantastic now. Smooth, balanced and full of flavor. Not sure what it will be like in another year though

I think it's drinking fantastic right now, only have 3 bottles left, would absolutely buy more if given the opportunity.

This stuff is holding up very well. Probably my favorite non-BA stout. Anyone else tried one lately?

No...I failed to save any because I found them so delicious fresh.

I think I've still got 2-3 bottles of this somewhere. I just need to figure out where it is! My "cellar" organization has been in disarray ever since moving a couple months ago.

I had to start a spreadsheet for this very reason.

I already had/have a spreadsheet, but I ended up moving so many bottles to different boxes to be more efficient with packing, and moved stuff to an off-site storage (and now some of it back home), that it isn't very accurate anymore. I started making progress last weekend on getting things back in order, but it's a long process...which makes me even more mad I have collected so many bottles that need to be drank.

I drank a Bell's 30th back in Julyish. It was drinking fantastic. It's comforting (I think) to know there are so many others that have required a spreadsheet out of necessity.

Great beer. I think I have a 6 pack to go. Wish I had more.

Have 2 bottles left, 1 in currently in the fridge. Plan on sharing with a fellow beer nerd in the near future.
