Bell's Black Note bottles and Distro?

    Did BN '12 make it outside of the brewery/MI? Since '14 was available at their general store, any ideas on whether or not it will hit the rest of their markets?

    It was already on sale in MN this week, my buddy grabbed some. I've also seen the last batch on tap at Al's of Hampden earlier this year.

    If I remember correctly 2012 was distributed to the Philly area in extremely limited quantities (just a few cases to the bars/stores that sold the most bells products). I was able to grab a bottle by dumb luck, but I wouldn't expect that to ever happen again!

    Also, I know quotations in media has had it on tap a couple times in the last few years. Though I don't think they post a tap list online anywhere so you have to stumble in at the right time. Although when it does go on tap there it lasts a decent while which is nice.

    Thank you both for the info.

    I have a couple bottles of '12 that I traded for, but really love this beer and want to try the '14. Will keep an eye out for it. As long as it comes to the area, I'll spend time to track it down. I don't want to harass my local connections if it doesn't...hahaha :grinning:

    Since it is Bells Shangy's would be the store to ask. I have never seen bottles in the wild but apparently Bells will be shipping limited amounts to all markets so at some point it might be out there.

    Make phone calls to Total Wine's and Rodman's every single day. Ask for Nolan at Rodman's. Rodman's you should call 15 times a day. Maybe you'll win a lottery of some sort.

    Don't forget to join the gang that tailgates at Norm's in VA on delivery days, waiting for trucks to arrive and ensuring potential single bottle allotments of Black Note (and pretty much every other limited release) are sold out within 10 minutes of arriving. haha

    The general store @ Bell's went through 300 cases yesterday. When my sister picked mine up 15 mins before close there were only 6 left.

    my suggestion, friend? trade for it. Minnesota & Michigan for some reason didn't get a ton of BCBS (assuming you have or can get more of that)

    I'll wait a little for the BN trade frenzy to calm and see at the same time if I get lucky :slight_smile:. I have easy access to more BCBS '13 if I need it, but it seems people are trading bigger stuff right now for BN.

    Must be nice to have a sister who will pick up beer for you! Mine lives in LA, near many great stores that have awesome beers in all the time and she would not go pick anything up for me.

    BTW, if you're in the Philly area and can give up a few, I'll find something to trade for a 4-pack or something. :slight_smile:

    I heard we will definitely get a very small amount of bottles in Philly. No clue if any will get to distributors and bottle shops. I'm guessing some top accounts will.
