If you want beer to stay available longer don't jump on BA immediately to claim the non existent prize that comes with being first to announce it's arrived somewhere. I used to do it thinking it was a nice gesture, but after witnessing some serious mule incidents it occurred to me you may be alerting some BH's (beer hoarders) along with proper BA's. Let's all pick up the phone and do our own dirty work and maybe we'll see stuff hang around for longer periods of time.

Same here, although for what it's worth, I'm never totally in the best of moods when I've been stuck at work for the past 6 hours already. :stuck_out_tongue:

Haha it's very possible. I think I was in my car when the majority of people arrived as 4 or 5 cars rolled up as I was leaving. I only had one guy behind me in line after I looked through the store for about 10 minutes to configure a mixed 6'er. Next time I'll ask each person what their username is on BA.

Haha I was also one of the guys in my work clothes at Norms. I'm glad I got a bottle, I'll leave the rest in the area to others.

Glad Norms wasn't a show. I was fortunate enough to get a couple of bottles from various places. I am willing to share the wealth via IP trade in NoVA. PM me if anyone is interested.

Top Hops in nyc is raffling 16 bottles off. Raffle tickets a $5 a piece (w/ a 5 oz pour of anything on draft there). Interesting approach

Beverage Barn on Jericho Turnpike in Garden City Park, NY is currently listing on Beermenus.com that they currently have Bell's Black Note for sale for $7.99 per bottle. Upon arriving there today, I was told by the owner that it is NOT for sale but they are supposedly having a raffle/drawing to see who gets to buy a bottle. He told me that he received a case of Black Note.

FYI - First Place Provisions in Carroll Gardens has Black Note for $30-40 per 4/pack. Evidently were charging $30 yesterday, but today (with a sense of increased demand) are charging $40/4 (though someone talked them down to $35).

As a side note, pretty absurd that these off-the-beaten-path shops are getting cases when the bigger retailers are being shut out or getting a single case. I guess Bells isn't following the Founders model? (distributing more product to those retailers with higher sales of their regular releases)

First Place Provisions is the sister store of the rip-off beer store in Bay Ridge. They can be talked down but you have to really argue with them - guy was charging $40/4 pack for BCBCS and I got him down to $28/4 pack by telling him I would just go to WF and buy it there instead.

Being that NJ doesn't get Bell's you won't hear anything about it there

Shocked they were selling 4-packs. I managed to get 3 separate bottles and each place was a 1-bottle limit.
At the bottle shop in Brooklyn last week, the proprietress told me that NYC got 15 cases.
Ugg, Beer Table is ridiculous. On Friday I saw they had a case in of Wulver and BBA Siberian Night. $14 a bottle.
