You're only saying that because you were too busy cleaning up other people's messes to go!
Haven't scored any of this batch yet, but I hope to. In the meantime, I've had a Backwoods and a BBPT5 so far tonight. Being a Michigan BA is rough work.
It is true. This beer is pretty average. I just traded my Blushing Monk for a Black Note and a Bourbon County Coffee.
Done that, let's move on...
No love for the Sparkling Ale 750 ml thats in the cooler!?!?
I love Sparkling, but that's another one that has been victim to the bomber/750 markup. Shit used to be $12 a 6er and now it's $13 a 750. So annoying.
When I bought sparkling ale a couple years ago, I was honestly pissed that I paid 12 bucks for a sixer. That stuff sucks.
Did anyone but their Black Note on their Black Card?
Just wanna say that I got my bottles today. The Bells employees, AS ALWAYS, were extremely nice and helpful. Kudos to you guys (even though you told me it was sold out on Wed)!
Honestly, it probably was out. They only keep a few (as you saw) in the cooler and restock as necessary, so they may have been legitimately "out".
Probably. Doesn't phase me, just glad I got my Note!
Hell yeah, man. Gotta love the Notes!
Except for the "Note" you left me on our bed after 4 Elf, some chicken scratch about that growing thing inside me, and it not being yours...dick.
Is this another Secret Society post, or does this stuff really suck? I'll be embarrased to take them back just after taking all my Black Note back because you said it was bad...
I don't think Sparkling Ale sucks, John clearly does. It's available every year, and they have been doing sixers one year, and keg only the next, so it's been readily available. When it's in the 6 pack, it's around 12 dollars. So $13 for less than half the beer is insane to those of us who have had their fill.
It is a weak interpretation of a Triple, IMO. It's not traditional, they use some champagne yeast to make it extra bubbly and quite dry...
Are there still bottles left?
Yesterday afternoon they were at 1300. Might be able to get the last 75 today, assuming they sold another hundred.
Unless you supplied a healthy ovum, there was nothing growing inside you.
Serious post: I only tried Sparkling Ale once and it was a few years ago, but I did not like it at all. I would be willing to give it another chance, but 13 dollars for a 750 is quite expensive for something I never liked in the first place.
Didn't check bottle number even though we all know its irrelevant, but was told there's still a decent amount left.
Anyone know a good place close to Bells to watch the Bears woop on Detroit?
Yeah, it just doesn't sound appealing to me so we passed on it while grabbing our bottles of BN. I see the price difference there, kinda crappy...
I scaled back and only want one.
Shakespeare should have the game on, two blocks away.
Bottle number doesn't mean too much. I've grabbed two bottles out of the same cooler with a 400-500 number difference in the past.
anyone up to trade a bottle for some CCB stuff? or will I have to make the drive?
Thanx! Here now. Great tap list.
I wish this thread would die.
I heard Bell's just burnt down.
I called on my way home from WS and the dude said they only had a shelf full. No more left, I asked if they had cases left and he said "NOPE. This is the last of it for a while" I was shocked. About 45 minutes later I rang again cause we were getting close and I wanted to know if we should stop or keep heading toward chicago. They person that answered the phone this time said "NO NO, we have a shelf plus 17 cases left"
Maybe the locals are hanging around answering the phone when the cashier steps away to stock shelves.
If anyone has an extra BN around the Chicago area and wants to help me out, I'll pick it up, pay cost plus throw in a BBpt5.
Perhaps they forgot to carry the zero when number. I think they have 15,000 bottles, not 1,500.
