Oh man any other year I would have multiples (damn rona and distro in metro Detroit), but this year I only got one bottle and might just wait 6+ months before I crack it. Still got two from last year and just waiting on a good day to crack one haha.

Anyone aware of any BBA Expo in the St. Joseph area? Have a buddy up there for the weekend who wants to find some. Thanks if you are able to help out!

He found a couple of 4 packs earlier today with no problem. So we're all good here!

BBA Expedition is still out there. In the last two days, I found it in a local grocery store and a gas station/convenience store. I'm sure there's more places like this that have it.

I find it pretty amusing that people outside of this area aren’t really after BA Expo. I mean, it’s good for us, and I like the hyped new stouts as much as anyone sometimes, but BA Expo is a fantastic BA stout. I’d consider it the standard bearer for non-adjunct stouts from an well established brewery at this point.

So uhm... if Hopslam is a shelf turd, but still good... anyone want to send some my way (not a serious ask, though if y'all have some Bells to part with, some Sideyard sounds interest, and ofc Third Coast, as it's my old stomping grounds)? More seriously, I'd like to check in with what Bells tastes like these days and give it another chance with a more mature palate.

Because, I'll admit, I've never been a Bells girl, even though I hail from MI. I've known people that have drank with Larry (heard he's a really nice dude), but my Great Lakes beers have always been from different brands. Two-Hearted was always a solid choice in my neck of the woods, but not what I'd prefer if given the choice.

As a former Yooper, I kind of feel the need to represent MI beer on here, though...

I know at least one person in PA who agrees with you. And this isn't hoarding. It's traded for and regularly drank. I do the same with vintage BCBS. I'd rather have a stockpile of regular stuff like this than whales.

Any chance there is still some BAE sitting around Kazoo? Just want to know if I'd be searching in vain or not.

So disappointed to hear that it is MI only this year for distro.

I opened one of my bottles of BBA Expo. This one is much better than I remember. Thick and creamy. Dark roasted malt and choclatly goodness with complimentary barrel character. Not as hot and overpowering as I recall from the last release.

Have you been here already? I can't answer your question because I've been working on cellar drinking since covid and haven't been to the beer shops but if you haven't been in yet I have one I'd give you and there is a local facebook group I could point you to. cheers

I have already been and picked up some BAE. Plenty of it left at the store mentioned earlier in this thread "W. Main" (which thankfully is my usual store I stop at when I'm in town).
