Bell's Brewery (2020)

Just a follow-up, I submitted a question on Bell's website, and received a quick response. Luke H in the customer service department stated VII Spontaneous Me will begin shipping the second week of August.

I wrote to them about it a month ago and back then they told me July... so it looks like it's been delayed again based on your info. Quite a long ways away from their planned May release... but if this is a case of only releasing the beer when it's "ready" then I appreciate the delay. Hopefully it's not a case of larger issues with the beer.

They are releasing Mango Oberon, limited 4 pack of 12oz bottles. I love mango habanero, so wish it was that version.

 

The habanero is a bit too much heat for me but lots of people love that version. The mango Oberon is pretty meh quite honestly. It's ok but I don't think it's any better than regular Oberon

 

Good to know, although if I see a pack on the shelf, I’ll give it a try. I do love Mango Habanero, but that’s because there is so much mango to balance out the heat that it’s almost juice-like. I also love a pepper heat in my beers though too (maybe we’ll see a return of Neptune soon?)

It did seem to have magically appeared.

Hop Grandslam on sale Thurs

Yep it only has 31 Untappd reviews & they are within the last couple of weeks. Some of these special releases have shown up previously in the general store/eccentric cafe but this is a brand new beer

 

Used to be double dry hopped Hopslam with an ABV of 11.3%. The “new” version isn’t so grand whatsoever. Very disappointing to say the least.

 

Where is this info coming from? I found the detail on the last release, which looked to be 2016.

Sounds like it wouldn’t be worth the almost 2 hour drive for me to get some...

 

General Store this past January from the store manager when Hopslam was released while HGS was on the growler station........

 

The Hop Grandslam was quite tasty, was lucky enough to grab a crowler. I really like the mango oberon, would definitely welcome 6 packs of it all summer long.
