I’m in Michigan until Monday, only pickups slots are Tuesday- Thurs now

 

They go on sale Saturday but may or may not be ready to pick up on Saturday per their Instagram

 

Limited distro in Michigan only, according to FB.

 

That was an easy one minute in and out pickup. Only wish I could have picked up a case like the last time I hit up a BA Expo release.

 

This method is much more equitable, IMO.

 

So who's cracked a 2020 BAE yet? How's it stack up to previous years?

 

I pick mine up on Sunday. Previous versions have been too hot out of the gate for my liking. I’ll be waiting at least a year before opening one.

I cracked one tonight. It's got a lil heat but not as much as some previous years. Already drinking phenomenal. Liquid fudge goodness! Wish I could have gotten more than two 4 packs.

 

I had one Friday night. Dragonflyjones note sums it up for me. I will say that the last sip or two was very bourbon-y. Bottle was packaged on 5/18/20.

 

This will likely be my last voluntary trip into MI, combo vacation/family biz. Bringing $$$ and popping the economy is a given.

 

Little bored here, so was browsing check-ins on Untappd. Appears BA Expo has seen some distro in MI.

 

Why do you say that?

It was available on the web store for ~5 days so there were plenty of opportunities for out of towners to drive to Kzoo to pick up

 

I see a number of people claiming purchases at various MI establishments- The Crushed Grape, Kibby Liquor, Jonna's Market, Nappa Valley Beverage Co, etc. All showing drank from a bottle w/i last 24 hours at home. Some of those establishments even have it on their Untappd menu. I've never heard of any of these places, but a quick internet search shows they are real businesses and not some made up 4 Square location.

EDIT: I'll also add, multiple places on Beer Menu's that appear to keep an updated menu show it too. Now some fine BA get out there and help me with my trade! Unless there's looting by you. Upon which you should stay home! Cheers and stay safe.

 

Interesting because normally when there is a limited distro release like BA Expo we see it at beer stores here in Kalamazoo days to a week sooner than it hits other parts of the state. I haven't seen any local spot advertise it yet plus i was at a place last night and didn't see any but maybe it's with the distributor still

 

BA Expo made it to the usual SE Michigan craft beer stores last week

 

BAE hit the Tri-Cities last week and is still around.

 

It's all over Michigan. Bells commented on their Facebook post during the Eccentric Cafe release that it would see distro there.

I'm still not sure it may not see distro outside of Michigan after this wave knowing Bells. They had told me several months ago that it would see distro in PA but obviously those plans could have changed with what's transpired in the last several months.
