Anyone have any intel on a (OG) Hopslam release this fall? Bell's socials have been silent on the topic far as I can tell.

    I haven't heard a peep. But I'm still processing that it's no longer a January release.

I return with info! I pinged Bell's on Instagram and they said Hopslam will be moving back to its original release month of January. (Great news IMHO.)

Putting things back where they belong. Maybe they’ll have another best jorts competition at the release party.

Is that a 2025 version? I picked up a 2022 vintage last week at the General Store. Haven't tried one yet - maybe this weekend.

That’s encouraging! After that cellar sale I somehow had the impression they weren’t going to release it again.

I drank one yesterday. Rich and robust as predicted. It's billed as an American Barleywine by Bell's and BA, but I think I'd put it into the English Barleywine category..

it’s been years since I’ve had one, but I agree that it’s more like an English style.

I suppose that the discontinuance of Eccentric Day begs the question of whether there will be any more Eccentric Ales. I think that beer was brewed a year in advance with a guest brewer, so I'm guessing that there may be another one this year. I think each year's iteration was released on the traditional Eccentric Day, so we'll have to wait another week or so to see if a 2025 version gets released.
