So, in general the year round stuff is well represented... however has anyone seen the Bell's 30th around here? Do any stores/distributors get good supplies of Expedition and Black Note to the point that they will sell 6 packs?
Left NYC only recently so I can't help with 30th but my experience is YES for Expedition. Even if you shoot a little further north it's pretty easy to get. I've never seen Black Note on shelves in NYC in the few years Bells has distributed and I'm pretty certain if so it's sold in singles not 4 packs. Black Note is a different beast than Expedition.
30th anniversary should be here in the next week or so, I spoke to Bells at the beginning of the month.
Only way I snagged any of last years Black Note was at a bar and even then it was a one bottle limit. good luck
Black note was not released this year. The last time it was released was early 2014 and some stores had 4-packs.
Bell's is pretty well represented around here. Black Note, is the one I haven't seen. Expedition and all the "planet" series beers I was able to get. 2015 Expedition should be coming out soon. I was able to get Expedition last year rather easily on Long Island and in Manhattan.
I do most of my shopping at WF Bowery, and Im sure theyll get Expedition, but they most likely will only sell it per bottle, and the guy at the store told me most likely they will sell only one per person. I missed out on all the Planet stuff. Do they sell them as singles in LI too?
Thinking about it, I'm almost positive all my Planet bottles I got were in Manhattan. Saturn (the BA barleywine) was fucking tits. If you see it, I'd be surprised though, buy that shit.
Yea, the planet stuff is sitting on the shelves I'm sure still in MI, so if you want that badly, find someone, but other than Saturn they are all probably a little old by now. I have still seen Neptune around the city. If you are desperate for bells stuff, I will be in Philly this weekend, where it's def easier to find, shoot me a message.
I know its supposedly supposed to hit NYC stock this week, however if I cant get my hands on Bells 30th, Ill definitely hit you up and we can arrange something.
