Bell's draft list too blurry to read..

Good Lord, that is completely useless. I am on a computer and can't decipher half of it.

But hey, they have wi-fi!

 

So glad you posted this!!!! Maybe Bell's will finally fix it. A lot of the blurry stuff written in chalk are limited release/one off beers

I can read Two Hearted Ale and Hopslam. What else do you need? I do agree though, that the list in the middle is a joke.

 

The "tap cam" has been like this for a long while now. I agree its useless. They need to either write more legibly or come up with a different way to post their draft list.

There is just too much text there for a camera of less-than-CIA-quality to read.

No it's even blurry for the BNSS.

That does look like it says Black Note at the bottom right-middle of the board just to the left of the wifi sign.

FWIW, I just called the GS and no bottles of BN.

 

Sounds like BN isn't coming out til much later this year due to the impending Saturn release taking up the barrel room. At least according to my buddy who just took a tour there last week. Who knows if its true or not but he mentioned it'll be released at a weird time this year like September or November. Great right it time for black Friday...

I heard about the same thing. Hoping its not true but hearing the same story from many different sources you have to bigin to wonder. But as long as the bnss exists, the general store will be answering calls for months.

Was there yesterday, Roundhouse IRA is on as well. Ya the blurry chalk is a problem I've had too. It can also help to check on Untappd to see what's currently on tap.

Anyhow, I think it is a really cool idea to point a webcam at the board. You have up to the minute info, even if it is a little hard to read. It is better than a way out of date tap list on a web page.

 

In theory I agree, it is a great method, probably my favorite one. No one has to update a website, you're pretty much guaranteed to be getting an up-to-the-minute taplist that you can trust (I usually assume website taplists are hours or even days behind.)

That said, if the only beers you can read are the ones you pretty much know they're going to have on tap anyway, well then what's the point? A three day old website taplist would convey more useful information.

I don't know if they need a better camera, different positioning, or even just a lens cleaning, but I feel like this is fixable, and I hope it gets fixed.
