Bell's Eccentric Day 2015

This was on the Bell's twitter a week ago or so. Date confirmed.

I'm interested in going but how nuts does this party get? Is it packed?

 

See you at 9 AM for a breakfast of BA Expy and chocolate covered bacon! I'll be the marching band member with a trumpet around my neck.

 

as previously stated, late afternoon it gets crazy, but well worth it. come on out archie, lots of civil beer drinkers in the morning.

 

Damn, I wish I could skip out on work to get there earlier. I'll be attempting to wear a shirt as pants and pants as a shirt.

Does the food usually last all night?

 

yeah, food is plentiful all day and night. your outfit sounds incredibly uncomfortable but incredibly creative if you can pull it off.

 

Going to miss it this year.

 

There is a group of guys that have called in sick on this day for the past several years. Start coughing and run to the bathroom several times throughout the rest of the day.

 

Any regulars know if the keep any beers tapped on Saturday or Sunday?

 

Dont assume the beers like BA Expo will be on tap in the morning. Last year we got there at 9sm and they had all standard stuff, nothing special until 3 or 4pm.

 

I know, every year is different. Two years ago my first beer at 9:05 was BA Dagger followed by Chocolate Cherry Double Cream Stout. One can always hope!

 

Whoops meant Toasted Coconut Espresso Java Stout, not the Choco Cherry Dbl Cream Stout.

 

Silly question, but do quite a few people just show up in their normal attire? I'm a little weird, but don't really get too crazy lol. I'm more of a jeans and hoodie kinda guy. Based on Bell's posting, it would appear a costume is almost a requirement.

I'd definitely like to check this out if I can make it down there after work.

 

I have morning meetings at work tomorrow that I can't get out of. I could make it after that but I have no clue what I would wear for an outfit. I will have to see what I can scrounge up.

 

I appreciate the information, and will likely have to change out of the work attire to attend this one lol. I won't be able to actually get there until 4 PM at the earliest, but will likely wear an eccentric ass pair of fish pattern shorts, along with some other odd patterned stuff lol. I just MAY go without a hat too...Which is unheard of for me.

True story: The last costume party I went to (about 10-12 years ago), I decided to shave my head and make up a morbid excuse for not having a costume (see: chemo...I know not funny - especially given my family history of cancer). Long story short, my hair never grew back. Now that right there IS some funny shit, and made me a believer in karma.

Hopefully my attire will be acceptable if I can make this event .
