My second favorite non-barrel-aged imperial stout was bottled today at Bell's:

I'm not sure if it was specifically confirmed yet, but with the above post, Cherry Stout is making a comeback after the poor cherry harvests from last year prevented it's appearance for 2012. And of course, Java and Double Cream along with Third Coast being up on the docket as well. Also, (and this is pure conjecture) I would assume that this stuff is being blended with the Double Cream and basking in bourbon barrels as we speak for hopefully another release of the coveted Black Note.

Marshal Zhukov, followed by Darkness would be mine. Wish both were easier for me to get like FIS and Expediation are.

If you drive to Illinois you can pick some up. :slight_frown:

Can't wait to have Expedition Stout back on the shelves. I had one a month or so ago that had been aging for a little over a year and it was disgustingly good. It's easily my favorite stout behind KBS.

Nice. Very, very nice. I'm just as excited to hear about Double Cream and Old Ale. It's a good time to be a beer drinker. :grinning:

For those saying Founders Imperial Stout as number 1 I'd say Dark Horse Plead the 5th is number 1 then Founders Imperial Stout. Both are fantastic and I wouldn't turn either down though

Expedition and Double Cream are superb beers. I was never all that crazy about Bell's Cherry Stout. Then I got to try the bourbon-barrel-aged version at a tasting. Just like Jake Blues, I saw the light.

    Ten Fidy kills them all.

Third Coast Old Ale is pretty damn awesome, though.

Plead the 5th is better out of the gate. FIS may be better from year one to two-ish. Once you start to creep towards two and a half years and beyond, Expedition wins with ease. Expedition can still go strong pushing twenty years, call me when either of the other two have been verified to hold form for that long.

Any idea when we would see this in the General Store?
