I like people who get mad and post after the cat has been let out of the bag. Posting only draws more attention, which is the opposite of what they want. You can't defuse a bomb after it has already gone off.

 

BB cherry stout. Apparently the sacred oath of the secret society has been breached, as the cat is out of the bag! The traitor shall be drowned in a vat of bud light as punishment! Don't know why everyone is going so crazy for this, had it a couple times, and is one of my least favorite specialties from Bells.

ill take the blame for giving the clues that let the cat out of the bag. i waited a full 24 hours before i posted anything and im sure some fellow BAs are thankful that they found out about it. i get keeping it a secret to keep the mad rush of people with their mules from storming Bells but i think there is a point where its nice to let some people know whats going on. also in my defense i was almost drunk when i decided to post in the hauls thread.

 

I wonder if these will hold out. I would love to have a stash of these.

 

You just made a large amount of Illinois friends....and lost an equal amount of Michigan friends.

 

if i had to guess, the only Michigan friends i "lost" are the ones that live close enough to go buy their allotment everyday until its gone. chances are those same "friends" werent going to let me know that this was available for sale.

like i said, i waited over 24 hours to post anything and when i did post something it was really just a clue. and it had also already been posted on a few other sites.

Are people really that upset? Come on guys whoever lives on that side of the state likely got their bottles anyways. If he didn't say something someone else would have...as soon as that first FT/ISO would pop up the same madness would ensue.

fwiw, it didn't take your post to trigger the FIB Mule Brigade into coordination efforts that began on Saturday evening.

 

I would think it's nice to let people know, especially after a day. Why hoard it for yourself when other people would like to just get a bottle.

 

You have no idea. You should see the threatening PM I got on Saturday from some guy named Otis. He informed me that I was now black listed from trading with the Bells Bleak Nut Society. Absolutely devastating

Hoping those guys got maxed out their 2 bottle limit for the last 3 days. Sounds like those hoarders need it more than the rest of us.

 

What was the price on it? (forgive me if this has already been answered)

Considering how people couldn't care less for the regular Cherry Stout (80/100), I'm surprised at the obsession over the barrel-aged version.
