Bell's Hopslam (2014)

Got a couple cases yesterday at the General Store. To me, this years batch tastes much less boozier than the previous two years. Love this brew!

 

It's Ann Arbor, no "u", and no it should not be hard to find by the time you make it here.

 

What about the Centennial harvest?

 

Went to my distributor today and grabbed some hop stoopid and he said he always gets it. Thankfully I have a really good relationship with him and hes saving me a case. Hallelujah praise beerjus!!

 

Buying this and Sucks in the same week is pretty nice. Tough not comparing the two though when I'm drinking so much of both. But they are two different beers and like different things about both of them.

 

Where'd u find the Sucks? If you don't mind me asking.

 

Mega-Bev in Kalamazoo. They had just gotten one case the day I went in, which was Wednesday. Went back yesterday and all gone.

You must have got them from last year because it hasn't been released yet to my knowledge even in your area, not to bust your balls just pointing it out!!

Just another reason to be excited about living in the Chicago area. Only a hour away from MI. On the way there and back, I can stop by 3Floyds; and, pay my respects.

 

Your gonna wait three hours and shell out close to 100 bucks for 24 overrated beers???

 

Bell's General Store, released the day I got there and bottled 12.20.13. I'm not gonna buy a year old version of my favorite beer

Are there bigger, more extreme DIPAs out there? Sure there are. Is it something that has become almost cult like with too much hype? Yep.

None of that detracts from this being a high quality brew. Always happy to get some.

You'll be fine...plenty will be available in A2 round then...it hits stores in A2 this week (6th-10th)...hit up Arbor Farms on Stadium or Plum Mkt on N. Maple...also 2 Whole Foods locations (Washtenaw or Eisenhower) or Hillers Mkt on Washtenaw on the east side...if you cant find any there BM me and I'll let you know which smaller liquor stores still have it...we usually get a second batch released our way but you'll be gone by then...
