Yep too much honey sweetness this year, though I also have only had one bottle, so I guess it's a bit early to call.

Yeah...people struggle with math. How many bombers can you get for $5 these days ? Not many. One thing Hopslam isn't is overpriced.

I paid $17.99 for a sixer of good beer...and I'd do it again.

I supposively have a case on hold when my distributor gets in it. I'm thinkin that's a fantasy right now. located in central PA.

The two I had last night had good carbonation, but absolutely no head at all, and no lacing, beautiful color though. A little sweet at the start , finishers nice, but the nose was really weak too. Squeezed around a fresh Abrasive, it can't hang in any Dept, and Abrasive is cheaper.

Unless there is a second shipment it came and went in Central PA. Where are you in central PA?

in Danville, off of 80. It'd be nice to try some of this but it's no big deal if it doesn't happen. the hype is kind of annoying and it affects the attitudes of the staff at some distributors. hell, I'd be annoyed if I'm asked about hopslam every 30 minutes!

That is more true 'central' PA and I don't know about their Hopslam distribution. Hopefully you score some as it is drinking great this year IMO.

Hopslam is a dollar more than Abrasive on average, but it is a six pack versus a four. I do agree about it being inferior in regards to taste/smell, its my number one DIPA.

Always been bummed that Bell's doesn't distribute to eastern NY/Long Island. I mean, I could get all there beers when I lived in North Carolina, which is twice as far from their brewery and has a lot less people per square mile than the metro area of NY. Never understood.

I'm going in a couple hours to hunt around for it, but with very low expectations. From my understanding, the shipments to VA have further been delayed so I'm assuming that the same goes to DC. It's a little strange considering it seems like everyone North and South of DC/VA has already received their orders.

I'll be curious to hear what your hunt comes up with. I'm headed down to DC on Friday for an interview and hoping to not come back empty handed!

Abrasive is 4 pk of 16oz cans = to 6 12's. Hopslam ate up a $20 bill with some change, Abrasive is $16 plus tax , a little cheaper .

I have never thought the honey presence was too sweet. This year it seemed I had to look for it more than in previous years. Its amazing to me how much different beers will taste from one palate to the next.

Anyone find any in Westchester county? Live right across the border in CT trying to find where to go.

It looks like DC shops should have it by the middle of next week. The wait continues!
