You may be too late. Decicco Ardsley released hopslam on Tuesday, and Decicco Brewster released hopslam today at 6pm. You may be able to get some if you leave now, otherwise good luck.

$17.99 + tax kills a $20, I got some spare change out of that.

There is draft around which should satisfy those that want to experience some Bells Love. Go to your favorite Beer Joint when it is on and sit and relax...have a beer and enjoy life instead of fretting over a six pack.

I just had my first sip and I really like it a lot, not worth the money but a top notch IPA

    Ho Humm.....
Make it readily available and I'll include it in my rotation, otherwise I'm not fightin' people for it.
I do appreciate the 6-pack format though.

Yeah, I used to struggle to find it as well but it seems like it's almost right up front this year. Having another bottle right now and there's this tangy, almost cloying sweetness to it. I hate to be that guy who's like "Last year's was so much better" but it's either that or my palate has changed. I know the latter is more likely to be true since I've been exposed to some amazing new DIPAs this past year like Enjoy By, Hop Ranch and NoDa Hop Drop n Roll (new to me). Hopslam is still a very drinkable, well-made and unique DIPA but I probably won't be purchasing any next year since it is so expensive and, as many others have said, you can find plenty of DIPAs that are just as good or better for less money.

    What is more likely:

    a. A multimillion dollar company that has people rigorously taste and smell in addition to chemically test each batch of beer, using the exact same recipe as last year, and the year before, and the year before, somehow ending up with a different beer.

    or

    b. You remember it differently/your palate has changed after a full year.

I have do idea why 'it taste different' posts aren't banned at this point. Also 'I know what I taste' is not an argument. You dont, see: science. Your memory and your palate are both incredibly faulty. This goes for everyone.

It's been all over Athens, GA. If you're here and missed Bell's Bowl at Aroma's last weekend they've got it at Blue Sky. There are also some cases still floating around a few stores.

Lucky for me, heard a place near me in CA could be getting a limited supply... We'll see if that comes to fruition, however.

It says on the bottle "Ale brewed with Honey" why are people complaining about it having a honey taste?

Honey sweetness? Hope that is sarcasm; if not, you need to do a little reading on the benefits of brewing with adjuncts...

That's the thing, it seems like not enough of the honey fermented out and a lot of sugars were left behind. Or, if the honey is added post-fermentation, they simply used too much this year. Or, like I said before, I could just be crazy and it's been like this every year prior and my taste is changing.

First time having a slam and I have the 12/27/13 version. I taste the honey, like really taste it. Only other beer I can think of with this much honey flavor is Eclipse 50/50.
