I would be blown away to find out that they added it post primary fermentation. Considering how dry that beer normally is and the abv is so insanely hidden; there's now way.

It's possible its the first option, but considering how long Bells has been brewing that beer/knows what they are doing, I don't think that they would allow a subpar batch to leave the brewery (hopefully).

From experience; my vote would be the last option.

Good, but overrated. Take Two Hearted over it any day of the week.

Not sure if you found your Hopslam, but the guy you're replying to was wrong. I went to Pittsford on Thursday night and they had none.

I got some at the Penfield Wegmans on Friday, and my friend got some at the Hylan Drive (Henrietta) Wegmans on Saturday.

If you can't find any PM me, I have a little left and I might be willing to set up a trade for a bottle.

Much appreciated, bro. But, I'm all set. I was able to acquire two six packs. I was looking to pick up more if readily available. Thanks though.

I must say a lot of the negativity was really putting a damper on my buzz of being able to get this for the first time ever in NY. Well I should have known better. I have always been able to look through the hype, be it good or bad. But this is a beer I have wanted to try for a good 2 years now. And I must say my excitement was dwindled by the negativity about it recently all over the place. But as always I reserved to find out for my self. One of my biggest fears was that I don't prefer sweet beers and that was the biggest issue I kept reading about this. Well after getting my six pack and trying it myself I was pleasantly surprised. The sweetness was in no way front and center or over done in anyway. If anything i appreciated the uniqueness of this beer, and its ability to still have the bitterness i like and will certainly be a repeat buyer even at around 20 a six pack.

Right on dude - it's a kick ass brew, and you can't let the pissing and moaning of others bring you down!

Of course they don't. Around here a 90 min single is in the $3 range, while Hopslam is $6.50, lolol.

Paid $25 for a six cause I wanted to find out what all the fuss was about.

meh. Pretty much the same way I feel about most Bell's products. They must have a magnificent marketing department.

A most excellent brew, well deserving of the hype. But add me to the list that prefers Sucks over this. Especially at half the price!

BTW, not saying Sucks is better than 'Slam, just that for my tastebuds I enjoy one over the other.

Picked up a few six packs Saturday morning in Westchester County, both stores had them for 20.00 a 6-Pack. This was my first time having HopSlam and thought it lived up to the hype.

Yep. It's gracing many store shelves as we speak. Beer Culture (bottles and draft), most Whole Foods, Double Windsor, Astoria Bier and Cheese, Bierkraft all confirmed. Check Bell's site as week for a full list of accounts. Most should have their cases this week.

FYI, I saw maybe 5 or 6 cases of it behind the counter at noon-time at TW in Alexandria $22 a 6er. Don't know about a limit...
I was at the Brewery last weekend, and there were a lot of cases in the cooler for $60 a piece
