You live near hilton head? B
No, Charleston. Not too far from Hilton Head though.
Do people describe Pliny as a "bargain"? Not that I'm aware of. More to the point, I like Hopslam, but it's no Pliny.
Any word on North Carolina? Seems like it's always late here.
Central PA westy's beer released hopslam at 9 AM. Only 50 cases sold on-site and already sold out. Should start appearing at at other local places they distribute to in the area.
This week in NC, I hear.
A few places in the Los Angeles area have received Hopslam today! Per their respective IG accounts...
Just got the last 6 pack from MB piggly wiggly market common. Sold out really fast!
yes, it's finally hitting LA this week...I picked up a 6-pack in Pasadena today
I buckled and got the $20 sixer, just for the novelty (and I've only been able to purchase it one other time, almost a year ago exactly)...and to me last year's was better. This one is way boozy to me. I drank it on my train ride home and I was kinda fucked up on an empty stomach, and tried to dig outta the whole the rest of the night (I didn't, and 3 Old Style tall boys did nothing to help find my balance). I still like it though, but I'm gonna eat something first and settle in and not go anywhere. But last years seemed fruitier, more different flavors going on.
Just picked up a 6 pack outside of Kansas City. First pack of it I've seen this year, and they were already getting low. Expected to be out by tonight.
Whole Foods, Foggy Bottom (Washington, DC).
It cracks me up that people stand in line for this stuff. It is a really good DIPA, but I cannot see standing in any kind of line for it.
Wilmington, NC got it today. 17.99 a six pack
Finally, after starting this thread on January 18, I found it. Grabbed 2 six packs at the Weis in Lewisburg, PA. Took a while. Paid $18 and change per six.
2016 Hopslam on tap at the Blind Pig Brewery in Champaign Illinois!
Yes, at Happy Harry's in Fargo!
I was tempted to buy it. And I should have.
Bought 1 six-pack, thinking I would find more. But no!!!!
scored a case for $80 + tax of course. split it with 5 others and enjoyed one last night. will I ever buy again? probably not, too expensive for my wallet.
First time having it this year, and I thought it was pretty good. Cheers
Thanks @Beersnob724 for the awesome offer! But I was able to score 2 cans today at another local place. $3.89 per can.
Got 2 cases and picking up a mini keg tomorrow!!!! I would shower in Hopslam!!!
$66 + tax for a case down here in SE PA.
Found another sixer for me and one for my buddy @RossiDaMan - woo hoo!
I'm heading to San Juan, Puerto Rico next week...any advocates know if Hopslam hit the island yet?
It's going for $24.99 in some parts of central Iowa, what a mark up.
What offerings do you feel are similar? Just curious. I agree there are tons of hoppier DIPAs nowadays, but this beer to me is still among the best in terms of balance. Just a total fruit bomb and so distinctive, every year it still separates itself from the rest to me in terms of taste.
Where is that? Whole foods is $24.99 and the beer distributor, if they even have it is $90 a case.
Asheville, NC got it yesterday (2/9)...specifically at Bruisin' Ales. Canned 1/27/16 so 13 days fresh. Personally found it much tastier than the last 2 or so years' batches. Definitely better (to me) than last year's batch which I personally found favored the sweeter side. This is actually my favorite batch in years come to think of it. The hops are slammin'.
22.99 for a six pack in FL
$20.00 Whole Foods, Old Town Alexandria, VA. Sixer in hand along with a sixer of Nugget Nectar...
16.99 whole foods madison wi. 17.99 whole foods chicago area. The pricing around the country is crazy
Dang, where did you buy that case? That's priced higher than buying individual 6-packs in most places.
I had my first Hopslam last night and was an excellent beer but feeling these are very hyped. Being a northeastener Ive been finally trading for these Surly (abrasive, overrated, furious),Bells(Hopslam, two hearted)3F (alpha, gum ball, zombie) pa's and though I admit they are very very nice beers and different from stuff coming out of the north east. Northeast brewers are killing it with endless juicy amazing brews.
Could you please tell me where in FL you found it? I haven't been able to find any places in the Tampa area yet
Craft Beer Cellar in Brandon got it yesterday. Picked up 6 @ $21.00. 813-413-4951. Open 10AM. Hi-Res in stock also.
Thank you for the update! I was in there on Saturday and asked if they knew when they would get it and they told me 'late February'.
I did have a Hi-Res on tap when I was there and thought it was really good
I bought Hi Res at ABC East Brandon over a week ago, so I passed at Cellar. Both are dynamite....but $$. Hopslam came in yesterday. He, like others, are at the mercy of the distributors. Good folks at Cellar.
I love when people chime in and says there are a ton of similar offerings that are cheaper.... then fail to list them. Real helpful fellow advocates... haters gonna hate.
