am i lucky to have easy access to hopslam or was there an overproduction? many stores around me still have it in stock. which kinda sucks because the beer loses some aroma after 2 months. still a great tasting beer though

Well since we have no idea where you are, its hard to say how lucky you are, but while 2-3 month old Hopslam is good it is not enough better than other fresher stuff I can get locally to get excited about it.

One of my stores got a second shipment earlier this week, which is practically unheard of. I won't lie, I picked up an extra sixer.

to the op, if you are in michigan I would say its pretty normal. but I would have to disagree with you, I think it taste better with a few months on it, mellows out alot!

I feel the same way. I am located in Ohio and can still walk into 2 out of the 3 of my main beer stores and pick up a 6er of Hopslam. I felt this year it was a lot easier to pick up a 6er than last.

Here's what you do...buy a case and ship it to Texas and get some tasty treats in return. Just a thought...

i think the reason it is easy to find is 3 fold.

    1) Bell's has been upping production
    2) Demand/hype has decreased
    3) This years (while good) is not as good as years past

I wish I could still find it in NC. It was gone within a few days after it hit shelves in my area of NC. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Haha Hopefully craft brew wise things will be getting better for you guys in Texas. If still have a couple bottles of Hopslam left that I would be willing to move, if any of my fellow BAs are still interested.
