Haha Been a member on here since January or so and have done A LOT of reading more so than posting. Since I am new, I am always willing to setup some special terms to give more experience BA members confidence in my trades. I have been a bit more active on other beer forums on here the past couple years.

If you still have Hopslam, I'm not gonna hate. As it's been 2-3 mos. since release, enjoy that fine barleywine, son.

My God... how much fucking time do you have on your hands? Does your Mom know that you're downstairs trying to rip off hard working people for free beer? Make up your mind which handle you're using you friggin' drunk!

    Nailed it.

I'd add that people figured out that draft is much, much better than bottle too.

I still have one unopened case that I'm about to drink over next couple weeks. Bought too many this year.

I'd also add, that there might be uneven distribution of hopslam (and many other beers). We often have to scramble to get a 6 or 4 pack of special releases, while I hear it's on the shelves in other places months after release.

That is very true. That happens a lot with Abyss and other Deschutes limited releases in SD

Nope, still drinking beautiful and almost as good as it was fresh. Just needs to be refrigerated the whole time.

I doubt the sixer I just got was refrigerated the whole time, and it's still plenty hoppy without the alcohol bite it had a couple of months ago.

Yeah, just had my last Hopslam last night. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it if I saw another six pack on a shelf here. 90 day old Hopslam is better than a plethora of <week old DIPAs out there.

I think the release was staggered this year as well, at least it was posted as such in a forum. I dont know for sure.

It is just where you live. The Raleigh/Durham area has a ridiculous number of craft beer stores and every store sold out within hours of getting their shipments. Even when some of them got a second round, it was gone that day.

Nanobrew - if hype/demand has decreased, its just where you live. Here, it just gets more intense every year.

Do you really think the demand/hype has decreased? I personally feel the hype/demand inscreases each year with the number of people turning to craft beer.

Hype has only increased. two years ago Hopslam was a shelf beer, and not it is a behind the counter/bottle limit beer (in most areas).

Western Mizzou got so little it was ridicolous. Maybe they could try sending some more our way next year. I've had hop slam as late as may & thought it was fantastic even then.

I was wondering about this also. Milwaukee still has a decent amount of 6ers left.

I live in Mid-Michigan and a couple of the bottle shops here still have many cases of Hopslam left. I bought two cases the day it was released and a few 6ers here and there since then. I haven't bought any recently, but there is still a boatload left around here!

Hmmm, yeah, I live in West Michigan just outside of GR and have all but seen it disappear from this area already. I find it kinda strange how even different areas of Michigan it seems to go faster than others. Not sure why that is. If I wasn't trying to lower my bottle stock right now, I would seek some out.

In my neck of the woods (western 'burbs of Chicago), stores received multiple shipments a good month apart. After having to hustle to get a six pack from the first wave, it was sort of funny to walk into stores weeks later and see a half-dozen cases of Hopslam just sitting on the floor. They still went relatively quickly, of course....
