Funny that there’s been a can shortage since March but there hasn’t been a shortage of every Tom, Dick and Harry brewery moving to cans, at least around here. More cans than ever on any shelf/cooler I walk by.

I've only ever had it out of cans. I expect pretty much no difference, but I'll still buy my annual $30 6 pack, I'm sure.

I work at a small brewery and we order 2-3 pallets of empty cans every month. Our lead times for can deliveries went from 1-2 weeks to 1-2 months. A brewery as big as Bells probably uses up to a hundred pallets of empty cans a month. So for a brewery of their scale they have to be strategic about which beers get canned and which have to wait or can go into bottles if that's an option.

That is crazy on can shortages....That 1 week to a month is a huge on breweries. Disappointing.

I’m usually a can first guy, but in this case Hopslam in bottles seems right. Can’t wait to grab a six, this was the first WOW beer I’ve ever had, at that time I was on a rotation of Hopdevil, DFH 60, Two Hearted Ale. Hopslam destroyed them, it was the first fruity ipa I’ve ever had as well, found it on tap at a bottle-shop in Winston and had a few on tap. That was a woozy drive home.

Hit the nail on the head.

This beer is accessible and has been for several years now. People no longer feel special when they get their hands on it.

    Therefore it sucks.

I can't wait for this one. I grab some every year, and I am reminded every year of why I have this at 5's across the board. It never disappoints.

I had no intentions of picking this up, especially with my drinking habits of lately and this hitting in at 10%, but since it's in bottles - I'll probably pick up a pack or two.

I've noticed some 250ml cans showing up on WBAYDN recently. If this is a new trend, I hope it catches on with bottles as well. A 7-ounce bottle of Hopslam would be... right.

The only time I scored some Hopslam, it took me 2 weeks to drink all six of them. The first one and the last one were different beers; the fading was fast.

I edited your post because I like to 'nurse' a full bottle over a 2-3 hour evening. A 7-ounce bottle might cause me to want another, and I just might do it.

Big beer over 10%, they use honey, but I think 2 weeks is shorting it a bit, and I’m a fresh freak. I wouldn’t buy 2 month beer at that price, but in that window I’d be ok. If I had an unlimited opportunity I’d want it 10 days old, but at 30 is more reasonable.

Ya, when hopslam reaches its end (about 6 weeks from packaging in my experience) it absolutely falls off a.cliff

Last year was my first time drinking Hop Slam, I had it on tap and that tap didn't last long, only a matter of a few days because as everyone knows, it's AMAZING!
Hopefully I can get it on tap again, and maybe pick up a Six or two.
    Cheers!

Ahhhh Hopslam...I remember the time I killed a mini keg of it myself one Saturday. The wife and I had talked during the week about drinking it on Saturday. Come Saturday, after I tapped the keg and poured myself one, she announced that she didn't want any because she wasn't feeling too good. I proceeded to do what I thought was best and drank the whole thing myself that day.

The Sunday after was a bit rough...lol
