...but a $60 case. Fair price for a top notch DIPA in my mind.

IMO Mars is better in every way. Price, scent, mouth feel, and especially taste!
Just did blind side by side.

Bought some of each at the General Store. Diggin the Oracle more but both are excellent DIPAs.

I stopped by the General Store today as well. It's been getting difficult to chase down some of the seasonal/specialty beers lately and I didn't want to miss out on either Oracle or Mars. I had a free day today so I made the 100 mile trip to Kalamazoo. I was surprised to see Mars was a little over $10 for a six pack at the General Store. I got three sixers of Oracle and one sixer of Mars.

Is it always busy at Bell's on Saturdays? I've been there a few times but it has never been as nutty as it was today. I had to park in their lot on the north side of the train tracks. As I get near the café entrance, a bus comes along and drops off a herd of people. I didn't want to deal with the crowd seeing how I was by myself so I just walked to the store. I got my case and left. But then I had to wait 15 minutes on the sidewalk while two huge tractors with forklifts picked up a 50 foot long section of train tracks that are used to cross a road. They picked it up and set in on a long flatbed railcar and away it went. One of the guys working told me they were taking it to Battle Creek. It interested me - I don't get to see things like that everyday.

Anyway, I'm going to have a bottle of each while I watch David Price take on King Felix tonight.

I just found a sixer of Oracle in Midland. All of the stores have sold out of the Mars.

Was able to get a six pack of Mars and two bottles or Oracle from Jake's Liquor in Monroe. Sounds like Bell's needs to increase Oracle production, because it's harder to get than Hopslam.

I do believe that there is significantly less Oracle produced than Hopslam. I would hope it is harder to come by. With all that said, I would not argue with increased production.

I was at Bells general store in Kzoo this weekend, they had a pallet of Oracle and Mars in their cooler. Cases of Oracle were like $68, a six pack cost me $17. Mar's was $38 a case.

That's crazy. Oracle isn't anywhere near $1+ a bottle better than Mars, IMO.

I'll turn your statement around and say that the Mars is a bargain.

I'm going to guess that the entire Planet Series will be the same price, probably due to them wanting the same UPC. If so some of the planet series will be a bargain and some will be "overpriced" relative to the style.

Will there be another drop of Mars? Haven't found it in Mt Pleasant. Same with Oracle.

for many of the beers, sure I can go with that. But like @BEERschlitz said, Saturn? A BA Barleywine for $43 a case?

Yea. I really doubt Saturn will be the same price. Would be nice though.

Blended margin. Like how Founders Red's Rye and Backwoods Bastard were the same price last year.

Founders admitted that the wrong UPC was attached to Red's Rye and it would be cheaper for the next release. I am not saying it couldn't happen, but I would be shocked.

It will come back soon enough.
