Seen in ny state not that it would help you out too much. If you email the brewery they will help you track it down.

mini kegs seem to pop up more often starting in the spring and summer. at least here in chicago they seem to. maybe try your local big box liquor store like binnys and have them order u one? good luck.

Have you tried this beer yet? I am a big fan of bells but this one is very plain to me. I had a Bells ESB at a festival recently that was fantastic. If I could find this in bottles I would have some in the fridge year round.Good luck.

St. Louis got some, so hopefully you can find one too. I'd e-mail them.

They get around, they're supposed to stay refrigerated so most shops only take a couple a week, as space permits. If you ask the shop to special order they can probably take care of you, but no shop is gonna have x10 on hand, they're not all that popular.

2-Hearted ones are occasionally out there (or were) and recently someone told me ~10 yrs ago there were hopslam mini kegs!

The Bell's website doesn't mention mini-kegs as an available format for the MWPA, but I don't know if that's definitive (http://bellsbeer.com/brands/51-Midwestern Pale Ale).

The site DOES mention that Two Hearted mini-kegs exist, albeit with "limited availability", but I can't remember seeing one in quite a while. Does any one know if/when these are released? I wouldn't be surprised if they were summer-only sorta thing, as it would be great for a summer BBQ, etc.

Yes, actually I do enjoy it- less hoppy, more yeasty, malty to me than a typical pale ale

I saw them all over the place last year, only thing I've seen around here lately is the Best Brown(G.R. area). I'm guessing I'll see Oberon before this.

Hopslam has not been in existence for 10 years. I think it was first released in 2006. Maybe 2007.
There were Hopslam mini kegs available 3 or 4 years ago.

10 years ago I was 15, so I was estimating based on the guy saying it was a while ago. Thanks for the info though.

    Ok? 10 years ago I was 19.

    Loveless is incredibly overrated.

You guys on this thread seem familiar with this beer and I've got a question. Three months ago I tapped a 1/2 bbl of this Midwestern Pale Ale and pulled it off after 10 days which still left a lot in it. Left it in the fridge untapped for two months while other kegs had their day. So I tapped the Midwestern Pale Ale again last night seeing as there must be several gallons in it, and it comes out well carbonated, but cloudy cloudy orangey and tasting quite different. Yeasty I would say. Anyway, drank two pints last night, didn't get sick but I am not sure I like the flavor yet. Nothing bad, smells like a malty English ale, nothing at all offensive. Clean lines and faucet, and no weird taste like anti freeze or anything like that, just yeasty and very weird looking. Great head, foam is thick, wonderful lace on the glass. It definitely does not taste like the six pack of bottles I picked up today to compare it to.

    Thoughts?
