Just grabbed a six pack. The first sip had me worried. The grassy and harsh bitterness was too much for the beer... but once I got acclimated (and maybe the beer warmed), that harshness disappeared and the malt came out. Finished the first quickly and was happy to immediately open a second.

Just finished my first one of these and I rather enjoyed it quite a bit indeed! Bell's did good here!

The aroma and (to a lesser extent) the flavor are not as assertive as I'd want in a bigger APA, but are just fine in my book given the extra-low ABV. I was very pleased with the mouthfeel, again considering the ABV. The finish is clean as hell and overall it's crisp and refreshing; I can see drinking this a lot over the summer. Picked up a sixpack after trying a single, which is a pretty strong vote of confidence from me- I mostly buy mixed sixes.

Kinda disappointed by this one. Didn't really taste like much of anything. I know Bells can do better, but not sure why this is a full-timer for them. That's a head-scratcher for me.

Had this on tap at Bell's 2 Fridays ago. Thought it was amazing, almost like a lite version of beers like Heady. Definitely had the resinous bitterness and fruity flavors intermingling quite nicely.

Bought a 6 pack bottled, I believe, 4/2/16, that sat in a refrigerated section at the local supermarket. Didn't notice any of the more fruity hop flavors, just a lot of bitterness.

Definitely one I'd recommend trying on tap at the brewery, if you're able to get out there. Otherwise, expect a very one dimensional beer.

Beer like this make me glad I got into craft. Very flavorful for a low ABV beer. Not the greatest beer in the world but definitely one am happy will be around for a while.

So, what's the verdict on this? It just came to my area and I'm interested to try it - especially given the long, hot weekend ahead - but I'm not looking for hop water. Even with a session ale, especially one made with oats, I'd like a little body, some heft in the mouthfeel, etc. Worth picking up? Thanks!

On memory. I'll for sure get it again. Oats played nicely in it, and did come through. Can't recall what my sniffer sniffed atm. It wasn't big on sniffyness, but the beer was inviting enough for me taste wise that I want to get another six when some more 80+ºf days are in us and drink some that way.

Thanks, man - good to hear this has a little something to it. Again, a 4.3 percent pale should be light and easy drinking, but I'm glad to hear there's some body, texture, etc. Might have to give it a try this weekend - 80 plus degrees and some humidity call for it.
