Bought a six pack a few weeks or so ago and it was great. It's a beer I enjoy every spring.

Thank you, great post and good looking out.

I drink quite a bit of Oberon and have ever since we started getting it in NY.

Picking up my first sixer this week, it's lawnmower season.

Hopefully what you experienced is an anomaly. If it is, that's a good thing.

Bell's response email to my asking what the results were:

"It is great to hear you are enjoying the items we sent to you.

After running the samples of beer that you have provided us through our Sensory Panel, our Quality Team has determined the beer is within scope of the flavor profile one should expect from Oberon. We did not detect any metallic off flavors and it was within range of carbonation as well.

On a side note, I did want to clarify the packaging information listed on our cans, bottles and carriers. The date that you see is the packaging date opposed to the brewed on date.

Thanks again for all of your help in this matter as quality is very important to us. Please feel free to stay in touch."

Not just me, but two other people familiar with Oberon and craft beer, drank from two different cans, and there was a nasty, flat, off taste.

Either we drank from the only two bad cans, or Bell's is gaslighting me.

I am currently only drinking Oberon on tap, and purchasing a similar but different local beer called Dirty Blonde for my outdoors in the sun can craft beer

Sounds like this is most likely an isolated issue which is good because I really enjoy this beer.
    Cheers

Seen this post late but my 12pk of Oberon tasted delicious in those 4 days after it was released this year. I say 4 days because my wife and I finished that 12pk in 4 days as I really like this beer fresh and after a week it starts to fade, even after 2 days I noticed a change. But besides the point this beer had no quality issues and was as delicious as any other year. Perhaps just a bad batch was given to the OP.
