Fairly confident at least part of the laboratory, and one of the employees, makes an appearance in the Spruce Pilsner video:

Glad to hear Oracle is making the rounds again. I was able to have a pour at the beer festival on Friday. Definitely didn't think it was lingering on the bitterness as others have mentioned. Hopefully I'll land some in bottles to get in a full taste session (you know, for science).

I've had it on tap and in bottles. My regular bar is putting it on tap in a week so I'll get the chance to have a few more.

So here in Chicago, we can get four-pack cans of wonderful Pipeworks NvU for $11.99 basically at any bottle shop in the area, and people are looking for an unbalanced, likely 'Limit 1' 12 oz bottle of Bell's DIPA for what, $5-$7 each?

Different strokes for different folks, right? You consider NvU wonderful and Oracle unbalanced, while others may say Oracle is balanced and the new NvU has buttery flavors. It sounds like you luck out in the price per ounce area with your preference! Full disclosure, I haven't had Oracle or the NvU cans (had the bomber, though, and would agree with your wonderful assessment). I'm hoping to have both of them in the near future, but have had way too much other beer to drink.

$5-7 for a single 12oz?? I'd pass all day long on almost any DIPA for that price.

The Oracle was selling for $12.99 a 6er in Traverse last Friday. No limit.

I made the trip up to the brewery the other day to make sure that I got a couple of sixers, but have heard that it will hit our bottle shops in NW Indiana next week.

Surprised by the hate. If some little known brewery made Oracle fanboys would be trumpeting the arrival of the next great dipa.

The last couple of years it has been around $18 a sixer in Michigan non-gouger stores.

Yeah, the 12.99 you posted above is a great deal....or a misprinted price tag. Hope you got some at that price.
