Bell's - The Planets Series

Man it looks like most shops only got one case, local shop saved me a 6er cuz I was asking him about it... it was his last one when I grabbed it on Friday tho. Still have 4 if you wanna trade for something?

 

MARS better get to FL, I think Bells is great for doing a series like this, just hope its not too limited in availability

 

I had the ability to get both Mars and Oracle this year. If you can get both, definitely do, they're both excellent. If you can only get one, Oracle seemed better to me.

 

any sightings in Northern Virginia?

 

Got 2 Mars and 1 Oracle. I actually prefer the Mars - more of a citrus taste which I enjoy. But both are outstanding.

 

While it's no secret that we plan on expanding distribution, the goal of being in all 50 states within the next 2 years is not something I've heard discussed internally. We're working on a cellar expansion that will increase fermentation capacity, but we're far from ready to double our footprint as we're currently in 25 states and Washington DC.

 

I talked to guy at my Total Wine in Orlando. His understanding was that they were brewing a lot of this and there would be plenty to go around. He may be wrong, and they have been before, but that's what he claimed.

 

Picked up a sixer in SE VA today.

 

I picked up a six pack, as well, today at my local TW. When I first went in during lunch and they only sold me one. So I went back to see if I could buy another and they sold me 6. Now I have 7 to go through and a few Oracle.

 

I picked up a 6er of both Mars and Oracle at TW in Alexandria this afternoon - Lots of Mars available, 2 cases minus 1 6er of Oracle

 

Just hit this week. Hop City should have it on Thursday.

 

Just got 3 Mars at a couple different places here in Phoenix, 1 bottle limit everywhere...oh welll. Can't wait to drink it tonight!

With the release of the first in the series I made the mistake of trying to strike up a conversation about it with the young lady working at my local beer stop. I said "hey, it's great to see Bells planet series finally showing up in here. I've been checking out the upcoming releases and I' really can't wait to check out uranus."

 

Question: Don't know a ton about beers, but are these beers all saveable to the extent that i could save a couple of each and then share them with people and we could drink all the planets in one sitting? Or would that be holding onto some of these beers for two long?

Don't know what in the world is going on with NC distro. Haven't heard of any places getting Mars (certainly not in the Triad). It won't be any good by the time it hits shelves (if it ever does).

 

Since Mars is a double IPA, it'll probably taste best fresh (as opposed to 11 months down the line). It's certainly drinking great right now!

I imagine that waiting 9 months to drink Venus wouldn't be the end of the world, but some of the favors may fade.

 

Any news about or sightings of Venus yet?
